Well found the prob, been out working on her since half six this morning, turns out id blown one for the balance bar studs right off the engine, i did notice it was a bit dodgy last week but forgot to look at it again, put new bolt in this morning and bobs your uncle runs sweet as a nut again, I really need to get the car set up properly and dyno'd as it has to be pushing more then stock. No wasnt raining, i had however about 5 mins prior given it a footfull, so was worried id lown her up, but ill check maf tps etc tomorrow. And needless to say yes was scary as fook needed new pants after lol. just hope this isnt going to be an expensive repair.

took the car out for a run tonight through the hills alls fine doing about 40mph down twisty hills then all of a sudden everything stops, engine, brakes, power steering the lot dash lights up like a xmas tree. manage not to kill my self and roll to the bottom of the hill, she starts ok but will not idle for shit its very lumpy and just dies unles i hold the go pedel down, Help!!!! she drove home fine all the way just wont idle for jack??? any suggestions people??? cheers Craig

seems pointless, might aswell just have remote start on your alarm which is equally pointless ???

A Zed is not a car you can just get in and drive, well very rarely anyway unless your looking at 4k+ they can get expensive and very addictive when it comes to upgrades and modernising them. I was very lucky with my SWB i paid a stupidly low price for mine as a project but it passed MOT straight away and runs lovely but i think if you want an swb budget for 3-4k for a good one then insurance on top but 3k would get you a decent lwb. Cool! Well the car has all that plus an uprated FMIC, boost jets, thinks i better get me a boost controller and see what she can do that or a dyno run. She is much quicker then my old zed thats for sure:dance:

I bought a 90 SWB TT Auto a few weeks back shes now on the road but running a little rough so have changed the coilpack and injector plugs and now running a bit better went to do an ecu check and found its a mines ecu all badged up, how do i find out what mods are supposed to be running with it or what sort of difference its making to the car apart from eating fuel. cheers Craig

Car is a completely different animal when running full boost, my old zed was on safty boost when i first bought it, once id fixed a few probs and back to full boost wow what a difference.

I thought the same about mine untill i put some Forte engine flush in the oil then changed the engine oil and put Forte top end treatment in and ran it for 30 min had a loud tap that turned out to be a sticky lifter, worked a treat.:bow:

Well plan was full clean & polish and pics, but seeing as the heavens opened and didnt bloody stop today. So instead i decided id cover the engine bay and replace some connectors and christ im glad i did, She has been randomly missing since friday the car came supplied with brand new injector connectors and coilpack plugs, What a difference its made. And i have to admit im actually impressed with the autobox power delivery aswell, Ill still be going manual soon though. Spec list so far Black 1990 300ZX SWB TT T-top Auto 36,000 miles Already installed: High Spoiler 99 Spec Rear lights Baileys dump Valves Front Mount Intercooler Divorced Decats Strut Brace Hard Pipe Kit Stainless slam Panel cover Toad Alarm Clear indicators Clear side lights Drilled & Grooved Brakes + Yellowstuff pads SS Exhaust System Vacume hose kit HID Kit Tein Suspension Adjustable camber arms Mines ECU Momo Steering Wheel Navan auto shifter Hopefully if its dry tomorrow ill get some pics up. then start doing a write up on the bodykit and fittings once ive got it up to Zedword as its eating fuel like nobodys business at the min. Car arrived on a flatbed at 5pm friday night no tax or Mot so thought id throw her in for a pre MOT to see what work needed doing and feck me she passed first time no minors RESULT!! been grinning like a cheshire cat all day. 2 years out of the fold and now im back WOOHHOOOO. :dance::dance: full service and a good wash tomorrow and ill post pics. I was orginally looking at one of these for my shorty and then saw a few in the flesh and they look SH%TE you would have to get a fantastic finish to make it look half decent but you may as well pop to B&Q and buy a small pond liner lol:tongue:

yeah mines a TT so will defo be getting a tt box, Just wasnt sure if i could get away with using al the parts from a LWB TT Manual and use my existing prop?? but sounds like i might just have to wait till a tt manual swb gets broken (Wheres that rocking horse gone lol) Cheers Craig
