Update: Managed to get the drivers side exhaust manifold off without raising the engine to find the back of the exhaust manifold gasket was missing, Blew through a gooden. So it can be done without lifting the engine. Craig

Ive seen a few lately in Aylesbury, A nice green one that seems to be at Perrys commercial alot, A guy at Arriva near you Richard owns a Red 90 TT, A mate of mine has a Blue TT with lambo lights in Walton court, Another mate has just bought a blue TT aswell that im just fixing for him, and now My black Shortie so i feel a Bucks mini meet coming soon me thinks. Over the winter i want to get a wide arch kit fitted to my swb. looking for recomendations on the best kit and best place to have it fitted. Id like to use somewhere thats done it before so its done correctly any suggestions and or pics please?? Cheers Craig

Stupid question and a bit of a thread hijack but i have to do this aswell as got a blowing drivers side gasket. how hard is it ti partially lift the engine as ive never done it before anyone have a rough idea on whats inloved please cheers Craig

A friend of mine has just bought a 90 Manual TT off fleabay as a project, the car is imaculate but does not run right or idle. It sounds like a huge blow from the drivers side downpipe but i was under the car and tightened everything up and cannot find an exhaust problem. the car sounds like the exhaust is not attached its that loud. Im wondering could it be a gasket problem between the Plenum and the heads. The car holds perfect temp and oil pressure and no mechanical knocks or taps just this blowing sound. The engine has been freshly rebuilt with new turbos but tbh a poor job of refitting the engine found loads of connectors broken or unplugged including one at the back middle of the engine which i think is the det sensor, Would anyone have any idea's?? My next few weekends are pretty chocka but id be happy to come give you a hand done engine swaps a few times, im sure if there was tea and biscuits then a few of the lads on here would be happy to donate some time and man power:)

Wrong im affraid, you can get the GZ Manual TT i used to own one they are however rare as rocking horse sh%t

I wouldnt have thought it would cost 4k but im sure someone on here with a bt more tuning experience will enlighten us

for a good one about 8k when for 4k you can have a good z and 4k change to do upgrades:D:D:D

A mate of mine has just bought a 90 TT Manual Ive a had a look and the drivers side is blowing alot between the turbo and downpipe its making the car very noisy, and its running very lumpy, but no smoke what so ever. wheres the best place for new gaskets or does the old cornflake box and gum gum trick work. any help would be appreciated Cheers Craig
