Hi all, bit of an issue with my brothers car. its a tt. It has recently had a new clutch installed and has been run in. It was slipping but he adjusted the clutch pedal rod and it has been running nicely since. But the other day it has completely locked him out of the gears not selecting anything. We bled the clutch system an as far as we are aware, all the air is out and its engaging and selecting gears ( albeit ) a bit notchy. But the issue now is that the pedal has a few inches of free play where there is no resistance at all and its engaging pretty close to the floor. It does not feell quite right. We dont want to adjust the rod too far the other way to cause slipping again. If the engine is off and you pump the pedal pressure builds and it feels about right. then start the engine and the pedal drops nearly a third and and will not get to the same pressure as before... slave cylinder??? air????. Any ideas? Cheers

I work in the phone trade and blackberry is defo the way to go, I have a storm £35 a month 1000 mins anytime any network, unlimted landline calls texts internet and email. I will be getting the storm 2 next month for upgrade. I wont use any other make now!! And the Iphone is full of issues, you should hear some of the horror stories i hear everyday.

Id do the ecu check asap and see what it highlights

banging or knocking??? as this could very well be related to your lack of boost. Check spark plugs coil pack plugs etc

Do an ECU check instructions below, find out if your getting any error codes, as it could be a prob with your dett sensor that will put you straight into safety boost. http://www.zmods.org/index.php?page=ecu_diag also check all pipes for boost leaks hopefully it will be something simple. cheers Craig

Boost leak by the sounds of it, go round the engine bay chap and tighten everyting, listen for leaks, maybe an intercooler pipe could also do an ecu check see what error codes come up, your car maybe in safetyboost.

Car goes in first week of january for prep work ready for bodykit and full respray. My question is whats the best paint protection and polish, Iv always used and swear by the meguires stuff, But i want this to come up in a fantastic deep shine. The car is black by the way. sorry to hijack but im thinking of removing the hicas aswell, what else is needed eg do you have to block off pipework etc etc, or change the powersteering res etc. thanks Craig

thought that would be the case. Saying that i wouldnt be put off by getting an auto, Im stunned at how quick and responsive mine is. If i wasnt looking to up the power id leave it an auto. Worst case you do a manual conversion later.
