  1. Anti lock light not meant to be on then? I always assumed it was just telling you it was on when lit up yellow, mines always on
  2. C4 gtechniq. About the best stuff you can get for black trim.
  3. You don't "fabricate" anything but you do have to assemble them, but it's straight forward stuff. The hardest part will be getting the right sized AN fitting to change the lines from oem to suit the fittings, but again it's pretty straight forward and overall worth the outlay/effort if it's a show/track/drift car etc but for a daily the whilst the normal hydraulic items aren't shiny blue and red they are more than upto the job and will probably outlast the car providing you get the right grade hose but they'll advise you on all that and it's a cheap job. Earl's lines and fittings or try aeroquip. It have thought it would Google straight up though.
  4. Earls lines and fittings are about the best you can get if you're going braided/AN sized/type fittings to be honest. If not hydraulic suppliers will stock top quality lines etc for half the price of OEM usually.
  5. I'm interested in getting this done mate. How much do you charge to do it? Cheers Dave
  6. Work out the space from wheel edge to arch face and then see if 35mm will give you a nicer fit mate
  7. I've got a 1990 jspec CD and cassette decks. They're different from the ones above though. £20 of you want them, I'm putting in an aftermarket hu at the weekend so won't have any use for them
  8. Yeah I hear you, I've tried to make my car got a wheel in the past so now I try and get the correct specs mate, it saves loads of ballache but if it's the wheel you've been looking at for a while I understand your frustration. As said though the offset is weak so irrelevant of caliper clearance you might want to think about it's flushness and work from there tbh mate.
  9. I know it's not what you want to hear but sometimes it's best selling on and buying specific sizes and offsets mate. It shouldn't need a 20mm spacer to clear these 4 pots. A 5/10 one will do not then because of the difference how are they gonna look against the arches?
  10. Hi Does anybody have some decent front and rear speakers available? Might also be interested in a sun and amp but mainly after the speakers as the due to sizes needed. Cheers
  11. Btw hard lines on the accident mate, never been there myself but similar with and it's guttering at the time. Atleast you're alright and able to sort something else out ay. Don't want to sound like a vulture at all but are you going to be breaking the whole car or are you just selling bought parts on?
  12. Yeah elises can be seriously quick and handle phenomenally well. A mate of mine had an s1 with a t16 engine, granted it's heavier than a k20 but they're still pretty good engines and potentially 3-400bhp
  13. Ebays your best bet mate, go on completed listings and youll see some fetching over 3k. My mates going to be advertersing his na auto for 2.5k.
  14. Sounds like youve done good maintenance work to it mate, should be a reliable base for the new owner to start with. Non turbos seem to be holding recent money at the minute tbh.
  15. I have now sourced an exhaust and interior I'm now looking for the following; OEM gear knob - must be later leather type in good nick 99 spec front bumper Cheers Dave
  16. I had the same problem recently... Gearbox replacement mate.
  17. Yeah I completely agree Jeff, he was really sorry about it and has given me a partial refund tbf. He said there's no way it should have been cut but took my word for it. He says it still has a 3 month warranty too so because I've got to get it done I'm trying to make the best of a bad situation mate. I'd rather not have to splice obviously but atleast if it's done properly-I'll use heatshrink- it's going to be working properly... As long as the looms not the culprit... lol. Thanks for your help Jeff, hopefully I'll be able to update some good news by the end of the weekend. Cheers Dave
  18. I'm pretty annoyed about it tbh, got so much on this weekend I could have done with the box install going smoothly... Never the case though is it lol
  19. Yeah I wouldn't have thought that would have been their forte tbh, they're a breakers yard so mainly strip parts. The box looks to be in really clean condition though so I've got no reason to doubt them other than the fact someone has stupidly cut the loom. Although I appreciate what you're saying surely it can be connected to the original loom if it's spliced in, a clean job should ensure there aren't any issues from joining the looms together?

  21. Ah no, I bought the box from Nippon autos, is there no a way round it then? - - - Updated - - - Yes jeff, new box has it's own torque converter.
  22. Cheers for the reply. Ah right, makes sense with it being a used box. The loom has been cut on the new one, so looks like I'll need to swap all the sensors over.. But you say some are not a straight swap... Will I need to splice in the cut loom to my existing one if that's the case? Yeah I go gym everyday but I'm not feeling lifting that up on my own lol. Thanks again
  23. So following on from my previous thread I've now bought a good used box and will be fitting it over the weekend. I've got a couple of questions that I can't seem to find the answer to... How much ATF does the box take INCLUDING torque converter? I understand I've got to half fill the torque converter before installation- do I fill it through the front shaft? Are there any other awkward bits that I should be aware of? Cheers
  24. How can you find MJP and does he have breakers mate?
