I've gone with 4" rears with a 6x4 adapter plate. 6x4 hardly had any choice and aren't a very good size for base from what I've read recently due to looking for some.

It sounds like you'd be in way over your head with it tbh mate, get a TT for what you can afford and learn on something that's built from the factory, that way you know what you're getting and there's obviously a ton of info along the way to help you get it sorted. Sounds like it would be a money pit and with your budget you'd be better finding a good project tt to buy in my opinion. Could/will probably be a ton of headaches buying that and with a seller making out it's forged he more than likely hasn't got a clue and it could have just been run into the ground since it left the original builder. In your case it sounds good on paper, in reality its not worth the hassle. Avoid mate.

Mine's been my daily since I bought it, but this summer I'm going to pull my finger out and get it looking how I want it. Never going to be a show pony but hopefully shouldn't look too out of place amongst some of yours. That engine bay is really clean, nice work mate.

The later ones take a 4" speaker, that's why I'm probably gonna go with the 4" jls with 4x6 plate if I can't find any

Yeah I'll keep a look out. I think they convert to a 4" speaker so if I can't find none ill grab the Jl's that come with the speaker plate. Should be getting some jl fronts off a member so i should be sorted with a decent set-up. Hu is a alpine 9815r with a decent built in amp so it should give me enough bass co sidering the z's layout without going overboard, I'm not going to get amps/subs with the boot space as limited as it is tbh, horses for courses and all that.

Where can you find base enclosures mate? Does any company do copies, would have thought originals get scene tax?

Are Vibe actually any good though? I'm considering using JL rears that change 6x4 into 4" speakers, I've heard that 6x4's are crap? I know a bit about brands and basics but don't have a clue about speaker sizes, ohms etc

Theyre inner tie rods in the link, not track rods. But as it happens ive got a lockout bar to put on so gonna replace these, cheers.

As above, do Japspeed track rods fit the hub correctly because I read a post that claimed they didn't, wondering if it was correct or whether they've updated the design because I'm meant to be fitting these with other bits tomorrow and I don't want it to hold me up if they don't! Anyone here fitted them without issues? Cheers Dave

Would be more than happy to buy it and swap the tailgate over, theres nothing wrong with mine except it has a huge cracked spoiler on it that I want to swap out and this seems the easiest option Let me know Cheers Dave

Because I wanted to know the size so I could just order it quick online. Since my autobox is full I don't fancy dropping 40 quid for the sake of 5 tbh... I'll contact Nissan tomorrow if need be just thought someone might actually know the size I need.

Yeah you're right but usually you get them both together and I'll still need the size so mareswell just fit a new one.

He's gone all out and said it's build no5 lol. I think the green balance bars are nismo specific and keep the engine stable for when the nismo power kicks in. What makes him think it's worth anywhere near 10 bag? It's a nice car bar the obvious though and the atleast he hasn't got a set of halfords specials fitted over those huge r32 gtr brakes...
