Does the abs system do a self check when you start the car? Or has the bulb been taken out to hide a fault?

Diesel will ignite with a mix of petrol already in the tank but it will put out clouds of white smoke from the exhaust, so much smoke that you won't be able to see behind the car.

If it's drawing in extra air it will effectively run a lean mixture and struggle to move the car

Is it drawing in unmetered air from the balance bar or similar area?

I put my tt engine in an na shell and kept the an rear end. It's an easier job than you would think and not sure that I would use the na diff again. It's better on acceleration but you do lose a bit of top end.

Have you checked the connections on the green relay on the inside of the passenger side wing?

Also you say people's attitudes are wrong but you don't know who did the work just because you have receipts it don't mean anything and I don't know the previous owner but I have never bought a car where the seller said that all the dodgy work on this car was done by me!!

I'm thinking of changing my seats. So mine are up for sale. They have been recovered in vinyl and embossed with 300zx there is a small amount of bolster wear on the drivers side. Drivers seat is electric and working.
