FAO - Old Zed
Thanks Old Zed, I didn't see this thread early enough (Ryan will be glad to know) as I have already paid for a 6000k set from 300zxparts. I am expecting them to turn up tomorrow. I can't wait to drive the Zed at night at speeds higher than 30mph    Who are you? the wheel police? LOL

Exterior Plastic Trim
Unfortunately, it is the passenger side I am after for my own Zed! I only have a driver's side available due to some confusion when trying to get hold of a passenger side scuttle panel. :slap: I'll get a couple of pics up tomorrow. :) Mike...

Exterior Plastic Trim
Hello mate, It has not cracked at all but does look a little faded. my plan was to give it a wash and then coat it with something like Plastikote. It should come up a treat. I can put a couple of photos up tomorrow if you like? Cheers, Mike...

HIDs - Poll
OK, Who has got HIDs fitted? Where did you get them? (links please) Were they easy to fit? Did you have to re-wire them so they stay on with full beam? Thanks, Mike...

Headlights - Chrome or HID
I'd like to know as well. Also, did you need to do any complicated wiring to ensure that the HIDs don't switch off when you go to full beam? Thanks, Mike...

Does Low RON fuel cause Detonation in N/A
Thanks, I have been running mine on cheap petrol for 18 months with no ill effects so far. but I woke in a cold sweat this morning worrying about destroying my engine!

Does Low RON fuel cause Detonation in N/A
John, you mentioned before that the stock fuel map on a Zed is very rich at top end. Were they set up like this to prevent detonation? Would a custom remap enable me to use cheap fuel? or should I stop being such a tight @rse and just stick with the Optimax? Thanks again...

Does Low RON fuel cause Detonation in N/A
I have done a quick search and cannot find the answer I am after. :headvswal Is it only the TTs that need to worry about detting? or will a Japanese spec N/A suffer from using cheap fuel? Thanks in advance, Mike...

radaitor
Yes, just to confuse matters. Autos need a rad that has an oil cooler for the autobox!

MOT Tomorrow
I hope she passes mate. Mine is up for it again next week, I'm already sh1ting myself that it will cost a fortune like last year. Best of luck...

radaitor
I firstly got a second hand rad for my N/A, it lasted a couple of months before going the same way as the original. My advice would be to go for an uprated rad (like a Koyo) or get a new one from Nissan. I know it will take a while to ship to the UK but it will fit straight in and should not go "pop" straight away. Either way, try some of the traders, they are very useful. I hope that helps, Mike...

Interesting, I didn't know Autos were more prone to warping. everyday is a school day!

brakes
if the steering wheel is on tight, you could have warped discs. Just to add to your list of problems!
