  1. well thanks to all for the advice, 19's it is:clap:
  2. Something I've never thought about, I guess I'll need some big boy callipers:2guns:
  3. Can anyone who has 19" rims tell me what they are like on their car, is the ride comfort drastically effected, do the tyres wear quickly and how does the car handle with them. I have spotted some rims on ebay which I like, they are deep dish 5 spokes, 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears. I have asked if they could be supplied in 18" rims, but they are only available in 19's
  4. thats what I was kind of thinking, anyway my mind is made up now, they have to go and be replaced with some 19's. Thanks for confirming what I was thinking
  5. Could anyone tell me if I buy a set of 19" rims with a 9.5" rear and 8.5 fronts what size tyres I need. I know I can run 235's on front and 265's on rear but what profile do they need to be????:confused1:
  6. yeah, I know what you mean, a set of 18's would be good, second hand is not such a bad option
  7. Thanks mate, what do you reckon I should do???????
  8. The wheels on my manual twin turbo I bought a few weeks back are aftermarket. They are 17" rims fitted with 225 45 17's. On close inspection of the rims I found them to be 7j which means that the tyre size is already the maximum I can get on them. I have arranged to have a set of goodyear f1 225 45's fitted next Saturday for £490. I am worried that these tyres are not big enough and I would be better off waiting and getting wider rims, could anyone tell me what the stock wheel size is for a tt, any other advice would be appreciated.
  9. On my car I have aftermarket 17" alloys with 225 45 17 tyres which are all knackered. I like the rims and planned to replace tyres with goodyear eagle f1's or Michelin pilot sports or something like that, but now I wonder are the rims and tyres too skinny and should I be looking at a wider rim and tyre set up. Why do owners go for a wider tyre set up, surely you would think that Nissan would have designed it with the super icas to give optimum handling?
  10. It's nice to hear from other members so close by. We will have to meet up soon. I just need to re-tax and buy a set of tyres and I'll be out and about in the next few weeks or sooner
  11. yeah, my vans the white transporter parked behind it and my z is safely asleep in the garage, it's just run out of tax today and has 4 knackered tyres where the sidewalls are breaking away from the tread. I drove it back from Lowestoft on Saturday evening approx 240 miles around the 80-90 mark and noticed them the following morning. They are so bad I daren't use it. Anyway apart from that and a fuel cut problem she's amazing and red just like yours!!!
  12. You are literally round the corner mate, I live in Eastfield Court. No.5 in the corner
  13. Just bought my z32tt manual, I did so knowing that the engine missed/spluttered occasionally at low rev range when holding a certain speed. On my journey home I noticed that if I went upto 4500 revs I got what I suspect is fuel cut, can anybody give me any advice on how to go about solving this issue??????
  14. just bought my first z last weekend and absolutely love it, even reclaimed my garage from wife & kids to stick it in
