  1. Fair points regarding Prop and mid mounting. The idea I have is for something similar to a Dune Buggy. And for a specific trip that will cover 10k through North Africa.. As few friends are on the case of building their own toys too. R35 was going very well, till I exchanged it with a V10 R8. Had it in few trackdays and a trip to Saville and Porto. I am loving the Audi. Though doubt will keep it for long with the knowledge that at the start of the academic year I will need a more sensible 4door. Missing the Z32 dearly.. And now insurance paid off. So temptation to get an engine and build an offroad vehicle is hampering my vision..
  2. also, anyone got figures on how much the weight of a TT engine is exactly or roughly Dry/Wet...
  3. Has anyone done or heard of Rear mounting a Z32TT on an aerospace frame vehicle? and what will the obstacles be for making it rear or 4 wheel drive?
  4. Superb :) Looking forward to its arrival :) Many Many Thanks again.
  5. Shipping paid :boat: Let me know when parcel is collected Ross Cheers fella.
  6. couldn't PM you somehow. drop me a msg must_12 at hotmail.com Mo
  7. Many many Thanks for the generous gesture mistyblue82 the one against the garden shed is the one I am after :) . pm me with your paypal details plz . pm coming your way :)
  8. in that case my JDM is a de-cat. and I am just after a H-or-X section... as it had been knocked with debris on the motorway. will Xor H have the same lengths and distances between connective ends? the reason I wondered if that was the cat is, there is a box in the H section. and then there is the twin exit back boxes.
  9. just wondered if the H shaped Cats section on TT's is a universal size regardless of make? as need to replace the cat. another question is: if I want to de-cat.. will it be just a simple replacement for the mid-section?
  10. Had it few times too. and last time I had to replace the plate number too. as it seemed to have been pulled by something that got stuck to the top of it... so surely they noticed that... darn Chelsea truckers...
  11. so the socket is the same for sure!! if that is the case, you got a PM :) Thank you fellas
  12. does any of the household nozzles have the same effect if fitted to those shelf paint cans?
  13. just wondered if there is any difference between the two electric folding for UK and JDM!! if the wiring socket or dimensions are any different? as Looking for a Driver side one... one of the little rats snapped mine at the rotating arm/pivot... Grrrrr :censored:
  14. guess I am going to have to make sure I get that specific one then. and the worry now is, I already have a RED Primer off the shelf and Lacquer off the shelf too... those nozzles I hope will not present a tedious challenge! :)
  15. superb tip there. can that be clipped to any can? or they have to be a specified for the mixed paint?
  16. now that is a great finish. impressive with spray cans. guess I have my work cut out to get something have as good as your finish :)
  17. Great points there. and a serious tip with the items to acquire :) great job you got there. how long does Lacquer takes to dry? and does it need rubbing down before a second or 3rd coat?
  18. do Halfords really do that in house? not sure about the one I went to.. but will have to search for the right place with the mixing capabilities :) Great point about under bonnet lining though ;) will be doing do once I collect the mixture. and see how it goes. then start the Primer... once bonnet dries up, will see if it is the desired shade, and start the painting stage... any ideas on how much paint is needed for each Bumper? for two coats each... so I can be on the safe side with a 3rd coat if needed be...
  19. good point. will do that tomorrow for sure. I hear you about the painting skills. both in the same boat. though I am going to give it a go. and already have some ideas from the gift of youtube tutorials ;) fingers crossed for steady hands... and thinking of going 2 coats of Red Primer. then 2 or 3 coats of paint. and 2 or 3 coats of Lacquer.. does that sound about right??
  20. is it available as off the shelf item! or will require mixing? as couldn't find it on an online search as something I can order from UK sellers online.. though there seems to be a touch-up-kit available available...
  21. just wondered if all RED Zeds have the same shade and code? as my JDM has a two letter+number then another letter... and couldn't find it on code lists... it is ::::: AG2 G has anyone anyone encountered such fiasco with the same shade, and found a solution? and where is the best place you sourced it from?
  22. funny you say that. I was in my cousin's garage last week. he had a 3-series on 51plate that the bottom sprocket snapped on... resulted on damage to the internal casing. and god knows what else... once I saw that I had to check the milage... 81K and I was in a state of wander... must be the one that balanced the odds for a ONE-IN-a-Million case ;) I had the pleasure dealing with one of these on a Mini... as the lady made a mess of things in the engine... she had a water leak, and was told to use a sealant.. she got the correct one... though, popped the hood open and first place to see a lid was the engine... and there goes the whole lot of red stuff.... i had the pleasure of trying to revive that thing... and gave 2 days with diesel and wire brush till my mind became flammable... at the end, more parts needed more cleaning... and 2 fresh oils later, engine just packed it in... chain was as new almost after soaking in Diesel... though the rest was as good as fire wood... another £800 for a Mini heart transplant. and it was back to life.... me personally wouldn't have coughed that much on a modern Mini... so the Marks on the engine casing are not necessarily correct? just a NISSAN belt to Pullies aligned correctly is what is needed? as you say, once radiator is off.. and that for me is a giant leap for man-kind :D whoever paired that car_design+engine to the standard horn they come with the ZED, need their head examined... it is like a bodybuilder on steroids, too intimidating till the high-pitch vocal notes grace your ear-drum.... and that thought of, IS THIS A DUBBED voice over dialogue... lol
  23. indeed there is always pros and cons. though would have thought chain would last well into 200k. as my old man's BMW had 300+k on the first chain with regular oil and maintenance...
  24. Well spotted Mark. indeed what happened to this V12 Ferrari engine :) changing any of the two for me is still an unfamiliar ground. though would have thought this would last more milage than the TT belt before needing change. would love to see a ZX running on chain if there is a oil casing plus the correct pullies to suite such thing.
  25. Sounds like you got Which compressor on driver side? don't the set up comes with a compressor and the Voovoo-zela end in different lengths for different note... and the hose set in the pack? and the fuse if for the Horn relay itself?
