Things you dont like about your Z
I've got the kit organised by Paul Arundale (ArundaleP) but as I have a UK car it's not essential. The kit cost me £165ish but if you want it I'll sell it for £150 inc postage... Let me know mate... CheerZ Steve

Insurance says its not a UK Model !!!!!!
FFS! Deffo check the chassis number. Your insurance company is taking the p1ss on this! IIRC the UK model sold for about £10,000 more than the Jap when they were available new in their respective countries. Why the f*ck would someone pay more for a UK spec when there were loads of JDM models available in Japan?! This stinks - I'm sure that they are hoping you will get fed up and walk away. PM me your chassis number if you want Alastair and I'll have a word with someone I know at my local main dealer... Steve

More info on AndyP's site However, I think you may have to go Dave's route for a definitive answer.. :( Tell your insurance comopany that if you are forced to do this you will be claiming compensation from them ;) CheerZ Steve

Things you dont like about your Z
Said this before - the way the front wipers insist on doing an extra wipe when you switch them off. Not a major prob but can be annoying when the screen is already dry  Steve

grey zed on the a22
LOL - not sure it was me mate! I was in Bournemouth all day Sunday and the Zed was at home  If a local scrote had nicked it, they managed to get it back in my garage in one piece.. In fact, I think they've cleaned it as well  CheerZ Steve

Thanks for the reply mate! Managed to get it off with some help from AndrewG and an amazing set of tools designed specifically for removing sheared bolts... I think Andrew is going to post a pic of the offending item CheerZ Steve

Help removing the top water pipe..
Jock was helping me remove my top water pipe today in order to replace the two short rubber pipes connecting it to the engine (one of 'em is split :( ) This requires the removal of three bolts using a long reach hex tool. The first one we tried (top right) has sheared the inside of the hex slot making it impossible to turn  Have since tried a couple of ideas but without success... Finally ran out of time today and I had to leave the car on Jock's drive  Have removed the fan shroud and the rad to give as much room to work as possible but it's very difficult to get anything in there to work with.. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this bolt out? We've considered drilling it but even that is very difficult and we're worried about the quality of the the resultant seal under pressure.. Big thanks to Jock for all his help and patience today  Any help and advice very much appreciated. Can take some pics tomorrow if required.. CheerZ Steve

Penalty points- How many have you got?
Just had an SP30 expire on my licence but in Feb this year I got an SP60 for 79 in a 60 on an A road in Devon. Late at night, no other traffic, straight road etc.. :xxx: This has bumped up my insurance on my daily drive by over £100  Alex, the NIP only has to reach the hire company in 14 days. They then pass your details back to the police who then send the NIP to you. :( CheerZ Steve PS. Had a total of 18 points to date - all speeding :(

Import or UK
I've gotcha.. :) Steve

Import or UK
Bit of a generalisation - why would not keeping it garaged make it rust more underneath? As I understand it, underside rust is primarily started by corrosive salt from UK winter roads... Mine's fine though  Steve :)
