  1. Yeah checked under car while cold and while hot no water leaking. Even drove car, stopped and looked for water leaks on the road and where the car was parked.
  2. No compression test was done when warm. Are the figures a little low? Would putting new piston rings on improve the readings? Thanks
  3. Right just done a compression test because I was loosing water. ! litre per 1-2 miles. In total put in more than 10 litres, which is enough to fill coolant system. No mayo in oil. No signs of oil in water. No water leaks at all. The other day though on tick over a lot of steam was coming from exhaust. Headgasket must have gone I thought. Problem is the results from compression test, which are as follows: Cylinder 1: 150 Cylinder 2: 140 Cylinder 3: 144 Cylinder 4: 145 Cylinder 5: 146 Cylinder 6: 147 After taking the compression tester out of cylinder 6 there was a bit of oil around the thread, but all sparks plugs where fine when removed. Any suggestions??? I’m puzzled (although it does not take much). Thanks Paul
  4. Yeah its Kirbz old one. Only had it a few months and loving it. :hyper: . Thanks
  5. Done. :slap: Thanks
  6. Thats how i got into Zeds. I bought the grey one cheap to see if i could fix it up. Anyway i fell in love with them. Obviously the bumper and alloys on that one are not quite to my taste, but she will do to mess about with. Plus i saved her from Zed heaven (or is it hell with those alloys). Thanks Paul
  7. I can now be nominated for car of the month :x: Thanks Paul
  8. Yeah sorry, it is j-spec. Thanks Paul
  9. A mate of mine wants his standard wheels to fit the arches. At the minute they look too sunken. What size spacers are needed to make the standard zed wheels fit the arches better? Has anyone got spacers on with standard alloys? Thanks Paul

  11. NOOO Midnight Purple :hyper:
  12. Ok i thought it was imminent. So they have 2 years to phase it out? Thanks Paul
  13. Heard some rumours that they are going to stop using certain types of car paints (not sure but maybe 2k paints) because of environmental reasons. Instead use some sort of water-based paints. Is this true or has someone been winding me up? Apparently the new paints are more expensive and going to put smaller businesses out of business.  :nelson: Thanks Paul
  14. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=94761&referrerid=5526 Hope u like Thanks Paul
  15. Also the original wheel bolts/studs on the front protrude out of the wheel spacer preventing my wheel to sit against the spacer, leaving a 0.5cm gap. The wheel does not sit flush on the spacer as the bolts prevent this. Can you get shorter wheel bolts or should I drill out the points on the alloy wheel where the bolts hit, so the bolts sit inside the drilled hole allowing the wheel to sit flush with the spacer? There are 5 marks on the inside of my alloys where the bolts are marking/rubbing so I know exactly where to drill. Is this wise? Thanks Paul
  16. I have these wheels. What make are they? What does it say i cant make it out? Thanks Paul

  18. Anyone managed to get in touch with him on Torque Power. Hope everything is ok with him. Just would like to know what is happening. Thanks Paul
  19. Added a further 4 litres and still water is going somewhere. Just left it ticking over and loads of smoke from exhaust (must be steam). So im guessing definite head gasket failure. If water is kept topped up it doesn’t overheat and it has not lost any power!! Thanks Paul
  20. I still have not recieved my items i bought of him too. PM'd him but he obviously hasnt been on the site as the pm has not been read. Paul
  21. No its not the car you sold me its my other one. The one you give me a rad for :D . Thanks for the concern tho. If it is a headgasket then i will still have my purple one to play about in while i rip the engine out of the other one :wack: Thanks Paul
  22. No althought i have not used it enough to let it overheat for the fear of more damage. I think i will take it out over the next couple of days adding water to see if it is still using water or if it is actually an airlock. Thanks Paul
  23. I have topped it up loads, put about 5 litres in to top it up, after putting about 4 litres in when fitting the new rad. Performance seems ok. Thanks Paul
  24. Driving my car home on a 20 mile journey, not really taking things easy. When I got home I noticed the temp gauge was on max. Looked under car and the radiator was leaking water badly, dumped a lot of water on my drive. Thought the problem was that the rad had corroded causing the leak and the overheating problem. Bought a second hand rad fitted and thought I was good to go. Problem now is it looses about a litre of water when driving 1-2 miles. No leaks from under car. Oil looks fine (no mayo). No excessive water steam from exhaust, only from a cold start. Looking at the water with the rad cap removed it looks like there are loads of little air bubbles and some sediment that looks like lime scale flakes. So im thinking obviously head gasket failure, but where can all this water be going?? Will it be the head gasket? Thanks Paul
