  6. Couldn't do that, I might get a ban for scary pictures... Ill stick to my real love.. my cars.. lol...
  7. Got the Zed back back from the paintshop today. New fog ducts in, trims repainted, cowling painted and the door repainted where some c**t had keyed it. £200 which I dont think is bad? with a couple of dinks removed and little pieces touched in like the plastics on the mirrors.
  8. Aye you are probably right... never thought about it that way.....
  9. looks like Acklam car sales???
  10. Not all lorry drivers have your sensibility mate. I do a lot of miles and the biggest danger to me is the lorry drivers who think they are safe and put my life in danger.. I'm a great believer in appropriate speed, 20 mph past schools and estates you know kids are playing, slowing down appropriately in the snow, fog and rain. dont what the answer is, but it is down to education. My father is a driving instructor and he genuinely believes having to drive at night, in rain, on motorways should be part of the learning curve. you pass your test and believe you can drive. You dont start learning until you pass your test. as a lorry driver how many people sit in the middle lane doing 50mph. must frustrate you? The worst thing about it is, its the innocent people who always seem to be injured by the the burks you talk about.. Really hits home when you see something like that.
  11. Last year I got my bm off the drive, soon as the back wheels hit the snow, game over.. People who wanted to get past had to help me bounce the car backwards, back onto the drive..! It was absolutely crap. I know not to even bother this year....
  12. if the worst happens and you do get the notice, demand to see the photo, ensure you can clearly make it out its you. If not just tell them it was definately you or your partner driving but you cannot be sure which one as you went through those lights several times that day..
  13. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Complete-Car-Cover-NISSAN-280ZX-300ZX-NS3C-/330629618340?pt=UK_Car_Exterior_Accessories&hash=item4cfb0f9aa4#ht_3155wt_943 I bought this one. Had one on my Porsche for about 18 month and its been great.
  14. You have a dude?? Be cool der girl... lol
  15. Cheers Bob, I know where romax is, ill give him a visit..
  16. I expect the answer to be no.. anyways.. Since buying the car Ive been getting some feedback from back passenger side. Finally got round to checking today. Apart from a little play in the tie rod end, nothing else. When putting the wheel back Ive noticed a really finally crack in the alloy, its near one of the bolts. Is it possible to fix a break in alloys these days? or is it a new set needed?
  17. Cheers Guys, electrical seemed fine strong spark etc so started on fuel. Fuel was there so went past it. Mate had a look and didnt think it looked enough. Changed fuel filter and all started. True what they say about a little knowledge???
  18. Hi Guys, where will I find the PTU? everything else seems fine, apart from the plugs smell of petrol, burnt the petrol away before I tried starting again. Wont start now, actually sounds like its flooding. Its a 94 plate so that would be a series 2?
  19. Cheers Guys, not had chance to look today but will start fault finding tomorrow
  20. I havent driven the zed for a while, put about half a litre of oil in as it looked a little low. drove above 10 miles and fine, on the way back it started to misfire. it got to around 4000 revs and would go no further but drove home okay under that rev range. went back out straight away and the power completely went. I know it shouldnt be the case, but if I have over filled the oil, anyway at all it could misfire? Thats probably just coincidence. Anyway drained some oil out just in case and restarted, no problem, no misfire. Lad over the road pulled up and we chatting about his GT4, the car was running, it started to misfire again, enough so it cut out. Ill check the plugs today and see what condition they are in, if not the oil why would it only start to misfire when it gets warm? Cheers Kev
  21. Its the ML270CDI, weve had it 8 years now, bought it when it was 3 fully specced. I look after my cars but it has 125000 miles on. tows a caravan, I sea fish so have been known to take it onto beaches and all sorts and it is superb. had to spend bits on it at times but owes us nothing. We keep looking at new ones and then think well its a workhorse and change our minds... Ours rolls a bit, whereas the new ones Ive driven dont. With it being a moving brick, I would get it remapped straight away if I do change.. What model are you buying? think I read your thread not so long ago?
  22. My beemer feels a little better although I didnt hear any noises when I did the reset. Its in for an MOT on Monday so will ask the Guys just to check. My wifes ML with the filter and the ecu feels much better, smoother. its had a remap and believe its running about 200 brake. so in a tank hard to tell a big difference.. lol..
