  1. definately an auto... unless thats why my fuel consumption has been so high.. Put filter in my wifes and reset last night.. what a difference....
  2. What do you mean when you say kickdown switch? I just held the throttle to the floor? Am I having a blonde moment?
  3. Tried resetting, didnt hear any noise but not to say it didnt work. Ill let you know the results..
  4. Ive looked a couple up and they are all down South. Found a couple local but their claims on what the bhp will be varies bramatically, ie 280 and 300. If I thought he could 300bhp out of it I would go tomorrow.
  5. Interesting.. do you remember where you got the sequence data from? I find the gearbox jerky, just thought it was the style of car.. did you remap the 530d? what was it like? worth doing?
  6. Has the ecu not got its own memory? simply disconnect the postive from the battery and that will reset the ecu? Why do you need to do that out of interest??
  7. its the diesel model 232bhp cheers Kev PS missus ML has been remapped so just ordered the K&N filter for it...lol
  8. Cheers, I didnt know that... Maybe asking Santa for a new exhaust... lol
  9. Cheers Mate.. Ive not done anything else to the car as yet. Its an e60. what air filters do you recommend? Im leaving the cats on as its my work car and cant be arsed struggling with it at mot time. Currently looking at twin tail exhausts, think it will look much better...
  10. Ill look them up cheers.. Im being quoted £250 for the plug in box but £300 - £350 for the remap. none of these are on a rolling road though..
  11. lol.. 232bhp... Apparently they darent touch Zeds..
  12. Hi Guys, Not Zed related but somebody on here will have an answer. Was looking to get the car remapped, probably using somebody like Celtic Tuning http://www.celtictuning.co.uk. They reckon car will go from 23bhp to 290bhp, also massive increase in torgue. Whilst fishing around for prices, one Guy also does boxes which simply plug in. he reckons I will get a 30% increase in bhp in aggressive mode. it has 3 modes for torgue and 3 modes for bhp. http://www.energytuning.co.uk Change cars you unplug the box and get it set for your new motor. What do reckon??? Of course Im doing it for the fuel economy:wink:
  13. I have the 530d Msport and it frustrates me to bits, car is always in control so have to turn the traction control off... Wish I had the skills to drive it properly with it switched off though.. Great car though, useless in the snow........
  14. I live near Teesside airport. Give us a shout if you are anywhere near..:sorcerer:
  15. and what if you got out of the car??
  16. Absolutely.. Ill walk into Halfords with my wheels and ask if they have one that will fit... Keep in touch with Janus (Jane), reo. hopefully we will be able to get a meet organised. I know Jane has been trying...
  17. You know what a screw on bike valve might work. Problem is the valve is too tight to the wheel so cannot get the adapter on a foot pump or garage forecourt properly onto the adapter. It it was 5mm longer... haha
  18. Another stupid question..:scared::confused1: Finding it really difficult to get air into the tyres because the valves are so close to the alloys. You cannot get the air pump attached. Janus mentioned there is usually a plastic attachment in the car you can clip on to the valve and extends it?? What tips of you Guys got? And no I will not blow them up by mouth:tt2::tt2:
  19. lol.. not doing it through your employer... and not paying their prices... i notice you are from Sunderland so will resist the temptatation to crack any jokes about employers and work... You are only down the road so may sometime be able to catch up???
  20. Thinking of towing a caravan like?? lol..
  21. Advanced transmissions in Billingham.. Wouldnt have looked at it twice but was recommended them by Prestige servicing (take my ML and 530d there) Absolutely brilliant and doesnt take your eyes out. The other Guy is my neighbour, wont mention who he works for, but does Guvvy jobs, builds the systems for race cars etc... fi you need anything let me know and Ill ask a price.. Janus, has passed me a number for somebody called Phil, a mobile mechanic..
  22. If you can get a trade card for Halfords the bulbs are less than halt price along with the wipers etc.. dont usually use Halfords but some stuff can be purchased at a reasonable price..lol
  23. whereabouts in North Yorks are you from??
  24. Cheers Mate, going to do it as a winter project. I can then take my time..
