Just bought this, Volvo XC70 D5 se lux So far seems really nice, should pull the van okay, towbar getting fitted tomorrow, remap in a couple of weeks... What would you detailing Guys use to keep all the plastics shiny without them looking all greasy like it did when it came out of the volvo garage? Theres a couple of missing bits of trim and scratches that the volvo dealer were to supposed to have sorted but havent, so expect a bit of hassle with that.. (Wife already threatened to take it back... lol) but a canny car....

Hi Vijay, id probably be a bit pee'd to, but its hard to try and find a good speacialist so hopefully you can meet a compromise and put it behind you. I was recently ripped off by a specialist garage and theres nothing you can. Regarding the bracket, I would have expected it to be fixed, but I would also have expected to have had to pay for that fix as an extra on the bill. that fix could be clearly shown to you so you could see what you were paying for. The cills do seem like a genuine mistake and could be expected as mistakes do get made. maybe some cheaper labour offered further down the line rather than offering the money back as an inspection did take place.. you both seem like good people and often things get muddied over time.. However if somebody had hung up on me thats were I would have lost my cool. I would have driven there immediately as I hate that.. Hope you Guys can find a compromise....

Alan, get your yourself a small external hard drive from somewhere like PC World. Not expensive these days. I also copy them to CD and put them in the fireproof safe in the loft. Id be gutted if I lost the family pics. everything else can be replaced.... but the memories.. Give me a shout if you need a hand and Ill pop through.. Still need to pop to yours anyway with the chainsaw.. Incidentally, FB is a place to share whats going on in your life, thats why they created the timeline... Do what you feel is right, i do....i'm not going to pass away having regrets...

Just sold mine, merc ml downsized to the volvo xc70.. need something for the fishing, dogs and van.. ML has been a workhorse but thirst, especially when towing... the diesel 420 is the one to look at...

They look great.. personally thnk it needs lowering just a touch to make it perfect? next job?lol...

Like it.... Ive just mtec drilled and grooved brakes on mine with ebc redstuff pads..... only way to have fun though is to turn the traction off and the whole world goes mad... lol... mines got 91K on it now though but you wouldnt know it....
