  2. Looking for options really on upgrading the brakes. find the standard suffer brake fade.. im aware of the DSports and Ksports, brembos, gtr33's interested in your thoughts if you have these but also are there any other options? reading through the threads someone has made a bracket and fitted Porsche brakes etc. Looking at infrequent track use but also I can use with spirited driving but without the brake fade and some increased stopping power... cheers
  3. Should have advertised the role and we could have raced you for it... lol.. Good luck Noel, looking forward to some events..

  15. sorry Guys disagree a little on this, you need moderation otherwise it would turn into a blood bath, there does need to be somebody to control things... however, I do think sometimes people just need to re read their posts and think is that pot .... kettle.... lol..... agree with moderation, disagree a little with how its been done recently.. JAE over a burger is definately the best idea as things get misconstrued over typing... ZNUT cooking the burgers then...
  16. I think this thread has become a bit of a mockery.. A greta thread to start from Rich and then committee members making their thoughts clearly known to all and sundry.. this should have been left and members allowed to apply and then declined rather than pointing out members who need not apply.. not a fair system at all.. Shouldnt get involved in this as I dont know the members involved but its the principle and the execution of this thread that I think has gotten side tracked... On a positive note the initial post was superb, then its gone pear shaped....
  17. which treatment should I try in the diesel then Steve? ill give it a go for a tenner... might cost me £2K in engine bills later.. lmao...
  18. The write up.. If Jim laughed Ill probably keep my pennies in my pocket.. as I say I was going to put it in my daily.. FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER – TANK ADDITIVE MANUFACTURED TO BS EN ISO 9002 SPECIFICATIONS TEC-2000 LTD. PH: 01462-433 660 Cleans entire Fuel System by removing any moisture build-up in the fuel tank and its strengthened FAX: 01462-433 606 solvent package cleans injectors and injecMtoOrB:nozzle0s7,83th1-e10r5e3b8y6 improving the atomisation and spray pattern of the injected fuel. The product thus improves combustion and fuel efficiency while helping to reduce the effects of water build-up. The high concentration of the sophisticated additive package will clean up areas such as valve and piston deposits, lamda sensors and catalytic exhaust converters, after combustion. Water build up can cause “phase separation” of the octane boosters in modern lead free fuels and this will affect the power output and running characteristics of the vehicle. When used regularly, (2 or more times per year) the composition of TEC-2000 Fuel System Cleaner - Tank Additive helps reduce any moisture build up in the fuel system, helps clean away upper cylinder deposits and deposits on valves and valve stems and prevent partial blocking of injectors. Cleaning of the lamda sensor allows the electronic brain to “see” what is happening during combustion and make the necessary adjustments to the fuel/air ratios which effect emissions, power delivery and economy of the vehicle. Additionally, TEC-2000 Fuel System Cleaner - Tank Additive will reduce upper cylinder wear and reduce deposits on catalytic converters. Often it will eliminate the characteristic "rotten egg" smell associated with deposits on catalytic exhaust converters. The product will also be effective in carburettored vehicles. What it is TEC-2000 Fuel System Cleaner - Tank Additive is a multi-functional fuel system cleaner, which benefits the entire fuel system for the petrol engine. The formulation has been tried and tested, all over the world, for many years, but is regularly subjected to technical updates. The technology behind the active ingredients is sourced from the United States of America and the final formulation is arguably the most effective of its type available in the world today. The product will not damage catalytic exhaust converters. How to use it. The product should be used with regular servicing as a preventative to clean all the above mentioned areas once or twice a year. TEC-2000 Fuel System Cleaner - Tank Additive should be added to the fuel tank of the vehicle. Where it is required to cure an existing problem relating to suspected injector fouling, TEC-2000 Fuel Injector Cleaner should be used, as directed.
  19. Cheers Steve.. great thread....Ill have a good read through that later....
  20. Nice one.. Ill get some prices and see how it goes... they reckon on some decent mpg jumps....
  21. if you knock all that carbon of a clean piston though are you not asking for compression problems? I believe its about £300 but will make some enquiries if its safe and not going to open up a can of woopass on my car.. lol ive a 530d msport thats now got 110K on it and was thinking about getting this done.. just worried about internal damage..
