  1. i see .. i did say Late 12's lol ... but i carnt see why not as it did 14's without nos/meth why not 1 sec faster with 65hp more and 396lbft torq
  2. any one going to santa pod this sunday 3rd july as i will be there going to take my Mondeo down the strip with me Nos/Meth .. managed to do a 14.1 Last year with out any of that ... and the car was not stripped out at that with an extra 65+hp on tap hope i can get in to the late 12's early 13's Mark
  3. Alloy corrosion making it stick get some wd40 around it ane tap it side to side
  4. i have used the stuff .. but never gave it a clear cote i would try and use acrylic based paint not cellulose as it will melt it
  5. if u take the turbo off from the 4 bolts that atatch it to the manifold the rest of bolts are easy .. i didnt have a problem with mine at all ( manifold ) i yet have to change my turbo elbows as have some SS ones to put on

  8. Well saying that all the lights on dash was on but thought that was normal untill engine starts propers... But the engine wouldnt run for 20sec at any given time... carnt say i noticed the fan... But me chipping the ecu didnt kill it as it never changed simptons

  10. the ECU was duff before i even tuched it ... i didnt know that at the time tho if u read fromt he beginning i couldnt get the car to start with standard injectors on the original ECU at the time wasnt even thinking it was faulty who would like u said there robust but after changing all stuff and getting new injectors thinking it was my old injectors playing up .. and having to wait for new pipes and stuff i couldnt start car or test it ... so thinking there wasnt anything wrong i chipped the ECU hence still didnt start but all the problems i have had to looks of it was a ECU that must of blown when i tuck the engine out in the first place ...   11. dont know yet havent got it but like in other posts .. yes it looks like it was a duff ecu. as works with a standard modifide ecu to work on 370cc injectors starts the car alowes it to run and rev i even driven the car but it wasnt right due to it running the wrong injectors so now i have to wait to get new ECU with 555 remap chip Mark

  13. i can get the ECU at jeffs but he doesnt have any 555 chips any more ... unless hes got an ECU floating about thats all ready done .. Will ring him tomorrow as hes back of holidays now Mark
  14. oh my ... lol yes in short at the mo the only ECU i have working here is a modifide one for 370's ... this is why i said in a posts above that i have my engine working now as my old ECU with 555 chip is duff ... and it was that whats been giving me the crap for weeks now as i have replace every thing that would make engine non start and missifing like bang bang pop pop and wouldnt run ... i got given .. two ECU's Standard one doesnt work full stop just like my own Duff Modifide one alows the car to start up and rev and does its stuff just a little hard to start and a missfire that changes from cylinder to cylinder .. like said think its not driving the injectors correctly safe to say cuze its for 370's not 555's yeah ?
  15. brand new ones on the injectors and coil ... brand new NGK's niridium bla bla the ECU i have in right now is Not for 555 injectors its just a uprated one for the 370s.. as i dont have a working ECU and the chip i have here TDa55 think its fuba due to my original ECU going down i dont want to risk it in another ecu ... So i need another ECU that can be chipped or ready chipped with 555 programing i carnt rule out a boost leak but if thats so it wouldnt make it missfire would it ?
  16. nope it only comes on when very hot .. like today when i had an air lock or if i unplug the sensor .. engine idles up and fan on .. plug back in and all go's normal . Why u ask anyways ?   18. yeah i know that .. its not driving the injectors right hence still a little hard to start and a missfire that swops around
  19. i dont know wouldnt that be just for standard injectors ?

Good News every one .. got given two ECU's from Baz the standard one was just like my own didnt work .. but the Standard Tuned one ( for normal injectors ) starts my car up and runs but there is still a missfire on Drivers side that tends to come and go and have had it swop sides so i think its not driving my bigger injectors right but hay it will rev all the way and ticks over and my new dump valves sound very nice :) any one got a Chipped ECU that will work with 555 injectors or with chip socket Mark
  21. ok got another ecu given to me by Baz ... and its still no go there must be some thing more
  22. yes thats right .. i can not find any evidence of it being changed My ECU is RM 23710 48p76 a18 000 mk1 2519 all in the boxs so one from a 90>92 should be ok right ?
  23. i know mine is a Late 94 to 95 as its got the Electronic rear steer ... but thats all i can say how can you tell ?
  24. that's fine just wasn't sure as per wanted thread didn't know if they was com-pat oh and how to i tell if mine is a S1 or S2 ECU
  25. can a Manual ECU be used on a car that was an Auto ?
