  1. isnt the sledgehammer the one with the .50/.70 block engine ? if so thay are a Pig to start and use turn up the idle alittle more get it started and try and run 1/2 tank of fuel Turn the top end needle 1/8th of a turn clock wise at atime untill you have good engine top end performance and a nice trail of smoke the engine must not bad off under its own throttle (die) now once you have done that u can tune the Low end Needle turn this in 1/8th atime clockwise untill u have a nice Zingy throttle response once this has been done back both needles of by 1/8th and then u can ajust the idle again so the engine ticks over nice but not engaging the clutch engine must not get to hot normaly u can tuch the top finn of the head for 3>4sec before its to hot to tuch this would be about right 200>250f

  5. ok here are the good and the bad points about some cars .. Traxxas 3.3 trucks engine is very finiky to tune T-Max likes to roll over all the time due to high ground clearence Not that strong Front wishbones are very weak Good Points Very fast and handles quite nice Revo has a weak gear box blows the reverse gears all the time both have a stupid Ezy start system that Eats batt life and pack up over time ( depends how it gets abused and used ) Good points fast and has Trick suspention setup HPI Savage Rolls over due to being high Strips spur gears if engine gets knocked ( this goes with other trucks to ) a little lazy in steering but thats a monster truck for you Good Point .. Very very very very strong !! there all with in your budget and have change left over .. if you was to come away from monster trucks and have a think about Truggys or Buggys you could go for Hong Nor CRT x1 truggy big wheels like monster trucks but lower to the ground and would out speed and out manoover any monster truck going Plus its very very strong downside is that the Jumps are not has high due to being lower to the ground but hay if yout thinking of doing 10ft jumps then trucks are good but remember is how u land them buggy is more for Cheap playing and Racing

  15. this new stuff added to the MOT Regs was Posted December/Jan so theres only till the end of this year when it becomes afective its not just the bulbs he would need to remove its all the wiring and the Balist, electroincs that go with it i know its a bitch thats why when i converted my other car to HID's i used Projectors as these focus the light beem corectly using the HID in Normal reflectors would have a much larger beem patten hence this is why alot of cars with it Glar/blind you
  16. 2011 VOSA changes to MOT Still 13 months away until these new regulations come into force, but some interesting changes. From MOT from December 2011, the below changes will come into force, which will be very bad news for some. HID lights – Specifically those aftermarket kits that give the very bright headlight beams. Any cars found with these kits will be an automatic MOT failure. Testers are able to easily spot the difference between HID kits, and manufacturer fitted Xenon’s. Easy to spot as Xenon cars have suspension level sensors, in car beam adjuster, and usually headlight washers. Chipped ECU’s - Unsure of just how/if this one will realistically be enforced, but any cars with chipped ECU’s will in theory be an MOT failure. I can only assume VOSA have found an easy way of checking ECU software through the cars OBD port (diagnostic plug). Wiring harness – The general condition of he wiring harness will be checked to make sure there is no rubbing or chaffing, and that the harnesses are in generally good condition. If unsecure, or damaged again MOT failure. Airbag warning lights - If any warning lights are illuminated, it will again be an MOT failure. http://www.motester.co.uk/TradeMagaz...alChanges.aspx
