  1. How come it wasn't mapped already  Have you added some mods to it?
  2. Perhaps this guy did con someone but I bet he only did it the once. Mind you, his name was 2096Jonathan, perhaps he's conned 2096 people under aliases, Lol.
  3. Funny you should say that, the torque is the most amazing thing! It pulls like a train in any gear. It is quite scary but the traction control keeps you safe in the wet ;)
  4. If you could that would be great. Cheers, Shaun
  5. Well, I'm 99% sure that they're TD04's after having a good look at them & comparing them with pictures from the net http://www.linuxpupil.com/darthmaulata/t2_turbo.html SO, not sure what they're rated up to power wise. I can't imagine they're supposed to run 22psi though
  6. Is Lynda screaming at you again Dave? ;) :headvswal Lol.
  7. They've gone to Bangor  I wish! Lol.
  8. Insurance is £410 a year using classic cover. That's with power of 400bhp declared. Of course the power depends on the boost controller setting ;)
  9. I might just do that as the coppers in North Wales have nothing better to do than pull motorists over for FA! Also, I think I'll have to change that front plate :( I took my brother DaveMac for a spin last night & he couldn't get over just how quick it was & I only ran it at 16psi! Can't wait for a dry day :hyper: Greg, Ryan who supplied the turbos seemed to think that they were smaller than the TD05-16G's ? Now I'm really  Lol. Perhaps I'll get used to the exhaust but I doubt the neighbours will, Lol. Oh yeah, why is it that when dumb assed Chavs see my car they start waving their arms around like possesed Mandril's
  10. No, not sure what they are TBH, all I know is that they've been reconditioned and are capable of 22psi  I'd have felt a bit better knowing exactly what they are.
  11. There is however one big problem with the car..... The exhaust!!!! :x: To say it's a bit loud would be a major understatement! It's fookin mental! :D I think my popularity with the neighbours is about to take a nose dive :o
  12. Hi, I bought Karlosg's car. The engine has just been run in after having forged pistons, re-worked heads etc & I've had the fuelling mapped for up to 22psi! I've been running it at around 14psi until today when I wound it up to 16.5psi!!! The torque is unbelievable. Once those turbos kick in it feels like you've got a jet engine strapped to the back of the car, Lol. I'm not even sure what the turbos are but they're capable of running 22psi reliably, or so I'm told! Shaun
  13. Wow, is all I can say. This car really shovels! The torque is immence & definately puts a smile on my face ;) I can now see why people go for big power, it is so much fun & gives you a high :hyper:
  14. Mercedes' much-publicised failed brake test, where range-topping S Class cars piled up as German TV cameras filmed the event, was a fake. http://www.petrolheads.co.uk/news/default.asp?storyId=12581
  15. What's the difference between a SWB & a SWB Slicktop then? I thought there were only 3 types, SWB, LWB & Convertible
  16. Aha, makes a lot of sense. Cheers, Shaun
  17. Nice 1 matey, can't wait to hear how you get on with it. 200bhp at wheels with 0.4bar, imagine the power at 1.5bar :hyper:
  18. I'm picking a car up in a few days that has oil cooled turbos, do you think it might be better to use 10w-60 in that case? I can imagine the oil will get rather hot indeed under load! I'd have preferred water cooled turbos but there you go. I'll just have to stick a bigger oil cooler & oil temp sensor on the car to compensate.

Go out there & buy some monster tubs then ;) :hyper:
  20. Fook me, you're a brave soul. I don't think I'd be prepared to take the risk of the gearbox locking up on me :x:

You've obviously got far too much money to spend, Lol.
  22. Like someone said earlier, he probably never did drive it, it was probably driven by a distant relative or bouncer!
  23. Also, low profile wheels only make things worse as I've discovered!
