  1. Thought i wud start a project thread to be honest iv been a little daunted by a few mechanical jobs needing doing so i put it on ebay out of haste !! but decided today am gona crack on and do it :) heres a few wen she arrived Abit of buffing Black roof bars and trims painted
  2. Hey guys .. just wonderd how difficult of a job it is to remove the diff on a tt swb ?? jeff advised in doing this in order.to get access to the hicas pipes !!!

  5. Umm i did consider it .. was basically looking for the cheapest and simplest option .. Is the lock out route easy enough to do from home for an average skilled person ? and na route ! is this all just a straight swap ? take.it id still have to change pas pump etc to na !!
  6. Had the car up on ramps today trying.to locate the hicas leak ! it seems to be coming.from the toppass side pipe at the very top... question is are the pipes replacable if so wer from ? and wat is the best way to get at the bloody things as there right above the sframe :(

  8. Ummm i see .. i might just locate the leak and fix original items ! prob the easiest route i would of thought !

  11. Yeah was a good price only problem was recovery being in cornwall .. fourtunatly i manged.to find someone on shiply heading up anyway :)
  12. hi guys whats involved in hicas removal ? with regards to gbox think il just leave that job tell after the summer !! im just abit worried i might not enjoy an auto but saying that iv never had a big power auto.!!

  17. Kind of difficult without me even seeing it yet but am told its got a leak on the hicas !! is this a common thing with hicas ? and is there anything in particular it will be ? Can anyone give me a rough idea of cost for an auto to manual convertion ? diy and garage ?

  19. Made up .. just bought coppens red zed :) so happy as missed mine like mad :) plan is a respray, new rims , mot work and manual converstion .. hopefully be.on the road in 6/8 weeks :)
  20. Yes i am i suppose but i havnt actually noted with way it works on the switch if you get me :)
  21. But thats whats weird though i can get the motor to run both ways wen switching the terminals ! Do you mean the control buttons bit !
  22. right , i put a power to 1 connector and an earth to the other , now the motor will only move the seat rail one way and not the other , to get them to run the other way i just switch the wires around !!
