I don't think it has mate , call it butchery but I found it easier to snip and re connect every thing is working again now I have outr the boot back on

started ripping the zed apart yesterday in attempt to get it ready to go in the oven asap !! hopefully should have the car painted in a few weeks just need to put the doors and boot ect back on now . colour is audi white . next job is a new set of rims !!

heres the thing , you need to flat it back with as rough as 6-800 if you wish as you are re laquering it anyway ! try not break through to the base coat (colour) then scotch it then re apply laquer , youv kind of messed up anyway if you have let it dry then just gone and re applied laquer as you should of rre scotched it then laqured . scotching gives the paint a key !!!!!!

tiger seal is good stuff also , vodkashots is right in what he says about the washing up liquid if it works , i normaly use thinners . same principil i suppose

glue the spoiler on with sikaflex , its propa bodwork stuff and the best you can get . tap it up on ebay and it can be bought in black or white !

thanks znut ha ha . there just examples of smaller jobs iv done from home , starting on my z next eel and have got some nice ideas for it so you can all judge me then ha ha re the blow ins , if there are no hard lines it's difficult the loose the clear cost line in the middle of panels , ud be better painting the whole panel ! blue ime are more for bumpers outr if trying to avoid painting onto a big panel , eg. an apost that joins the roof would be alot of effort to paint a roof because of a duno on an a post

Not many will be using celluse now mate unless there cavemen , but you may have been told this by one of them chipsaway smart repair van fellas , they use it and thats how they keep there prices down . 2k does the work for you , celly needs buffing to feck to get a good finish and then fades and goes dull .

not sure what you asking , but u can just paint the whole lot but on things were there is hard edges and inconspicous areas tyouy can buff it in , but it needs to be far away enough from the repair area so that you dont getany colour base coat near the line . then flick your laquer into that lifted masking area . dont just hammer loads of paint over the blow in line or it wont buff in . FLICK IT :)

i cant for the life of me decide what colour i want to do my zed , im holding of starting untill i am sure but i need to decide quick lol . first it was red , then white then red now back to white :bored: but then i light bulb triggered and am wondering if anyone has ever seen or better still has pic of one done in dark racing green ?????? whats peoples thoughts on this

then flat and polish ofcourse and you will need to do plently of it outside as there is plenty of dust in the air .. if you want an out the gun finish then rent an oven like i do :)

and appy clear , for outside drying a dust coat first and then a wet coat when is tacking off is fine , also use a shot of what they call rocket in the laquer to aid drying times . finished

heres a little walk through i did years ago for home diy use if this helps , using 2k by the way > repair area primed and blocked down the grades blowing this into the bumper up2 this line then it will be buffed in , so be carefull to not get any base coat ( the blue near it as you can only buff clear coat in !! i always spray at 2 bar but everyone is different , use panel degreaser then a tack rag between stages . first coat of base coat ( mix is 2 ;1 with thinners ) and continue putting coats on untill covered , better going lite to avoid paint crazing then when dry tack rag again for the final time , and clearcoat mix 2;1 with a mixing stick

dam not being able to edit posts ha ha ah yeah thats the one i am talking about mate , the one before that model is good aswell ( just the gti) the sata is absolutly amazing but would suck the air straight out of most even good ( not aldi) compressors ha ha ha .
