  1. Sorry for posting the eBay link but I really struggle on here to upload pics. Anyway link below maybe better to contact me through eBay for quicker response. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192231423268
  2. Just gauging interest for now, it's one of those sales which is available right now but I may change my mind in the morning! Quick description. Twin Turbo recent manual conversion by Lee Dent at la autos. Lots of other bits done up there aswell. Recently had coilovers fitted, adjustable front arms new track rods rear lock out hicas from zcentre. Forged bovs New 19" Rota alloys. Basically everything has been done to this car within the last 6 months. Has had a full respray in a one off 3 stage colour ( I will not announce on here as I hate copy cats) ? car is a solid 8/9 out of 10 has the odd imperfection here and there but is a very nice zed indeed. Mileage shows 80k kilometers. Cannot verify mileage as I don't have service history however this is one of the quietest t5.1 engines in have had and it goes like hell. I would be looking around the 6k ono mark. If anyone's potentially intersted give me a shout.. won't be many like this for sale it's very nicely modified without being fast and furious! Maybe best to email for quicker response sales@thewheeldealwirral.co.uk
  3. Hi can someone please help. Just paid for my renewal Please can my account be updated soon can pm etc
  4. Think I'm noticing it more because I haven't been on here for like 4 years! There is a massive difference in my opinion! You used to post a thread and a day later it would be on page 2 lol
  5. Think your right mate! Forums do seem a little dated now! But 6years ago there wasn't so many groups on Facebook now it just seems the go to place for discussions. I kind of like the old school forum style so would seem a shame for them to due a death! I noticed this forum has a Facebook page but it's a page it should be a group were club members can post!
  6. Have posted a few times on here late seems very slow and dead! When I had a zed a few years ago these forums were bouncing! Not moaning I think Facebook groups have taken over and its a sign of the times! Is there a Facebook page or some were everyone is at nowadays?
  7. Well here she is.. Bought this blind a few months ago she's a jap tt. Been off the road for the last 6 years! Still needs a few mechanical issues sorting but body's fully restored. Have put new wheels on rear hicks lookout and a good old overhaul. Coilovers next week and a trip to Lee dent and hopefully then can start enjoying it! Painted by myself in 3 stage paint wheels also refurbished at my place
  8. Another problem! Hoping it's a simple one. Took the zed on its first run in many years today. Temp went to high (not quite on red) and also there was no heat from the heater blower, could also hear a burble from radiator under the cap like it was preasurising! Hoping it's the thermostat, the only other thing worth noting is the temp sender at front of engine (twin spade) is a bit green but not sure how that would effect it.
  9. 3 stage paint by the way! Most painters are hating this colour
  10. Just a sneaky preview for those of you not on the Facebook groups! Just got a bit of polishing to do tomorrow and fit her up! Hopefully on a the Rd within 2 weeks! :)
  11. Thanks Jeff.. will double check tomorrow. Have you ever known an overfilled box and what symptoms did you see? I seemed to be getting bouncing off the limiter when burying it.. obviously I didn't know it was overfilled :)
  12. Right so drained my autobus after overfilling it! Luckily mine has the drain plug so we were able to do it the easy way. Roughly 4 litres were removed before it stopped coming out the drain. Drain plug refitted and we filled it with a litre and checked the level on the dipstick and we go correct readings (5times) when warm and when cold. This just doesn't seem right as we only put a litre back in? Can anyone advise on how this can happen I'm so confused :)
  13. It's just the inside door shut the part you don't really see. Was merely a teaser. Will post more pics soon !
  14. Just a sneak peak will put a proper thread up soon! What do you all think of the colour! It's a bitch to paint but we'll worth it! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1813445112232329&substory_index=0&id=1456302761279901
  15. Right I was going to go for the full manual conversion however due to time and the fact I'm not to confident doing it I'm going to just put in another auto for now. So I'm hoping someone on here has A GOOD ONE, A KNOWN GOOD ONE! So what have you got guys! Must be cheap or might aswell pay for manual conv
  16. Does anyone have any links to good guides to convert an auto tt to manual? Can I food find one would have thought this was a popular subject! :)
  17. Think I have found a full conversion for £500 which seems OK! I will probably have a go at the conversion but the wiring worries me!
  18. Yes I didn't pay much for mine either. If this box is indeed a scrap then I need to concider my options! Does anyone have a full manual conversion for sale for a start? Or is there somewhere that does a drive in drive out at a resonance cost! I have my own body shop with ramps and tools etc just not sure how much is involved in the job though and if it can be done by semi skilled mechanical experience.. either that or take my chances with another auto!
  19. I'm looking to buy a manual box and all of the bits needed to do the conversion ie pedal box etc etc. I am on a bit of a budget so cheaper the better
  20. I'm hoping draining and getting it to correct level it will be OK?
  21. "From the sound of it, the gearbox was burning the fluid and definitely sounds the like gearbox if hooked unfortunately", Was this meant to say ****ed? I bloody hope it's not after just changing it! I was hoping it was just because it was to full and it was coming out the breather :(
  22. Hi mate no box came off! I think the tq converter was just removed and refitted! It may have lost some oil should I have refilled it?
