Just noticed today my tt is smoking what appears to be water when the car is blipped when idleing from both sides , danz on here but his hand by the exhaust and his hand got covered in water :) is this likely to be condensation ? , no sign on mase under filler cap or overheating , and i assume turbo spoke would be black woudnt it , the car boosts well etc and cant see any smoke in my rear view when i boot it . also its a 2nd car prob only do 20 miles a week init !!

after all this i was thinking of just getting the exhasut done after the cats to the exit , but if my cat is slightly buzzing will it effect performance ????/

and you dont need to spend 600 quid on a gun , the best gus on the market is devilbiss gti pro or sata 3000 digital £200-£350, i would prob go for the gti pro being a new painter as the sata plasters the paint on and u may end up with alot of runs if not carefull lol

hiya mate , right first off , buy the very best compressor you can afford probably 3hp and 50 ltr tank and 25 reciver would be ideal for smaller jobs. this should be ok for anythink that you would do at home , anything it wont do would probably be best going in an oven anyway as its to big a job to do at home ( dust etc ) as for gun , you should only need one gun providing you dont use waterbased , my supplier still gets in 2k solvent base coat . waterbase base coat drys by blowing air onto it and is a complete pain to work with even in an oven . the clear coat you will use is solvent 2k and is the same used on either water or solvent basecoat. they are yet to invent a waterbase top coat , obviously being waterbased it would wash away in the rain :) its ok using it as base coat ( colour) as the solvent clear seals it !! and get a good airfed if using 2k at home , and if your not planning on using 2k then again i wouldnt waste my time with celly !! i hope this makes sense lol

hey guys , i have noticed yday that one off my cats sound like it rattling ( if that makes sense ) its not that bad and am not sure how much it effects performance anyway . however i have been wating to put a new system on my car anyway as its just a little bit to quiet being standard . but i dont want it to loud !! i also havnt got a massive budget to spend ! a few questions i have > do i need cats for an MOT , car is a uk spec 1993 tt ???? were am i best replacing the exhuast from ?? there is a company down the road from me called peco that make up custom stuff is it just easier to have them do me something one off or just buy something of the shelf ?? thanks guys :)

so do u have anything to add jeff lol I think u have done plenty of work on my car in the past by the previous owner ! there a 2k engine replacement gbox clutch etc :p would part a pic up but am sure you have worked on that many lol

do you mean switch ( control ) bit ? i have took the door card off and got to the black box (relay ) that is the bit i have checked !!

hey guys , i have a problem with my drivers window , at first it was very tempremental but then stopped going down atall , i have had a look at the relay and opend it and it works when manualy earthed out , the passenger side workes when controlled from drivers side switch panel or passenger side . i was just wondering if the relays are a common fault or could it be the switch panel itself ???????????????

sell it and buy a tt , buy a uk tt and there cheaper to insure than an import na !! as i found out , infact half the price lol
