  1. Packed and ready to head down to pendine....
  2. Particularly like the colour of this one.....missing some orange detailing though...:wack:
  3. Managed to get an invite to run on the sprint circuit on Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday! Any body local to Coventry that has a club banner/flag I can put up?
  4. Getting closer now, car fuelled and packed ready for the drive down on Friday.
  5. Checked all the rear subframe nuts and bolts were still present and tight, boost leak test then a wash.
  6. Well......... A vacuum is relative to ambient air pressure also known as Gauge pressure. Ambient air pressure is 1 bar when referenced against a perfect vacuum also known as Absolute pressure. So if you have 0.6 bar vacuum on you gauge, relative to Absolute pressure you still have 0.4 bar of pressure to flow. So it’s correct to say that a vacuum can flow. Hope this make sense
  7. Coventry MotoFest 2015 is an amazing, fun motoring based festival for the the whole family, which will take place on the weekend of 29th, 30th and 31st May 2015. Just wondering if any one is going. You can display your car if it's more than 20 yeas old so that covers most of us... https://coventrymotofest.com/get-involved Looks like a good day out.
  8. 'Scrabble factor', yeah, good way of putting it. I'm still undecided if my NA swap was worth it. 1/4 mile times down due to poor launches. Need to invest in more sticky tyres and try again. Would also say the short shifter is the other mod that has slowed me down as it's to easy to miss 3rd gear...
  9. Yes and yes but my car is for the track and comfort, noise are low on my list of priorities. I also have solid diff bushes so I can hear the diff very clearly.
  10. But if you do throw them away. You can fit solid aluminium bushes from Z1. [emoji12]
  11. Nothing to the car but I did fit a HANS to my helmet ready for her next event..
  12. Booked and paid for the short course on Saturday 23rd May. I'll post some pictures up if I survive...
  13. I do, very much so but will not be road legal when it’s on so squeezing Pendine in before it’s too late.. If only it was 4 weeks earlier....
  14. Exactly Gaz, Thanks. Unfortunately this will probably be the first and last event this year before the tax, insurance and MOT run out in June. Then she’ll have a year off tucked up in the garage until my car budget gets reinstated by the other half...
  15. The only reason I’ve got this car is to enter events and have fun with it. I’m thinking that a few trips flat out up the beach won’t hurt her and it will be a great experience which is why I do it.. That said, I’m think a good jet wash all over will be a good idea.
  16. I'm taking the Zed. It's mainly bikes but they also allow a limited number of cars...
  17. Ok, I'm going for the full 3 days but may just compete for the one day.
  18. I've been invited to compete on the 23/25 May. Has anyone ever been? www.straightliners-events.co.uk/event/events/pendine-sands-speed-week.html
  19. My one was from demon tweeks. Had the spline shaft welded directly on to the steering shaft.
  20. Took her out to stretch her legs for the first time since September. Forgot how fast she was and scared myself, then put her back to bed.
  21. Yeah, don’t know how relevant my opinion is on the ride quality.. For me it’s fine. It’s bumpy and loud but then again the interior is stripped as it’s a track car and not a daily drive. Can’t really comment on how it would make a standard car feel. I would poly bush the whole lot if the subframes are off. Then it’s one less thing to bite you in the future..
  22. If it helps, I got my kit from z1. I also got the solid subframe and diff bushes. If you get new roll bar bushes be careful to order the correct size because I belive there are 3 diameters and they sent me US size for my JDM.
  23. There should be a one way valve in the vac pipe. If your servo is leaking it won't affect your boost.
  24. Green is a good colour for a zed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
