Bob, I dream of being able to do a 12.4 and 128.6 terminal speed. Best I have done is a 14.03 at 107 with a rubbish start (2.84 64'), but I'm competing in the Brighton Speed Trials this weekend so hope to improve on that. Will be trying soft rear end and 18PSI. http://www.brightonandhovemotorclub.co.uk/files/speedtrials/st2009results.pdf gives some indication of a range of cars on the same strip.

Yes. I've done the exhaust, chip, filter, FMIC and run at 1-bar boost. Have smaller aluminium pulleys and 1 piece prop.

So with a chipped ECU, 17" wheels I have a chance of getting above 107MPH. Well I'll give it a go on Saturday for the practice run and see how I get on. Maybe I should have purchased an auto for this type of event.........

The air will flow through to FMIC and pass through your AC and coolant radiator. There are other areas for the air to flow into that space so i would not worry too much about it. I'm more concerned about the heated air from the FMIC being sucked up by the engine however, my filter is right behind the FMIC and i have not noticed any loss of power. Those vents look like they would just help engine cooling.....

Last time I raced at Brighton, I crossed the line at 107mph in 4th gear (1/4 mile 14.03 seconds). I remember changing up just before I crossed the finish line so I'm thinking, If I stay in 3rd, at what speed will I hit the rev limiter. I have a DTA chip and don't know what that lets you red line too. i think that i'll be quicker if I don't wast time changing up.... Any ideas?

if you want to remove the evaporator from behind the dash, it's housed in a removable box between the fan and the heater matrix. You'll need to remove the entire dash, but then access is easy to complete the removal. You just need to plug the holes in the bulkhead.

Thats sad news, I remember him in 2009. I was very happy to beat him then as I could not face loosing to a 240! R.I.P Phil.

Well I continued with the bumper and have finally got it painted and fitted to day! I'm really happy with it and the airflow to the intercooler is as good as it can be.:clap:

Passed MOT today so i'm one step closer to racing at the Brighton Speed Trials in September! They did say that my aftermarket brake lines need to be fixed to the bracket by where they connect to the hard pipe lines. Has any one needed to do this? If so, how?

Agree, I've a Profec B Spec II, and it's main advantage is the hi/lo boost option so you are not always stressing the engine.

I've not finished yet, still need to smooth it down and get it sprayed. The standard bumper allowed less air through and i did not see a rise in temp. This one should be better as a lot more air can get through. I'm competing in the Brighton Speed Trials in September so will see if there is an improvement then. I believe that as there are less places for the air to flow through, it should be more efficient but we'll have to wait and see!:blush:

Inspiration is only for trying to get the max air flow to the intercooler and the most efficient shape.

Hopefully when silver, it will look a bit more normal!
