  1. Without spending a fortune on a PC, what would be a decent one for swirl removal ? Was looking at the halfruads one: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_189810_langId_-1_categoryId_165640#dtab I also saw a silverline one on ebay for around £20, I have had a few silverline things and always been quite pleased with them ... Any one have recommendations for anything not megabucks ?
  2. * Gets popcorn :) I don't know if there is a definitive answer ? As yours is UK Spec, and cats were compulsory on UK sold cars after 1992 possibly legally not, but I think the Zed will pass emmisions tests if the car is running as it should. If you should get pulled for a roadside inspection, possibly you would get done. For MOT purposes you may be OK, If you keep the cats you can always put them back on for the MOT if the tester gets shirty ;) SS Japspeed Decat pipes come up on ebay new for £130ish often, and will fit with your standard system (although I think they are for manual only ?). Unless you have a shorty, the rest of the exhaust system is readily available new and SH, so no need to go custom, unless their prices are good ;)
  3. Now thats stunning, and in the colour I want, how would sir like paying ? Ah well back to reality ...:drool::drool:
  4. Did you not know there was a limited edition steel wheel version ? keeping those very sought after rare wheeltrims in situ is a wise investment for £2.49
  5. presumably you are looking to buy wheels as you are on stock, or do you already have 18's ? If looking to buy then 8.5 front 9.5 rears are a good choice, but you also need to look at offsets etc. If you already have the 18's, you need to find out what width the wheels are as Big Jim mentions.
  6. Ooer, I assume only some models had the AIV to the cats ?
  7. It depends on how close to the original rolling diameter you would want too. On 18's my preference would be 255/35R 225/40F but only because thats the closest match to stock diameter. Having a larger diameter will give you a bit more top end at the expense of acceleration.
  8. Yeah kinda look like that, no idea if the splines are std torx sizes/spaces or specific to the make ? The rim is bonded as well as bolted ? or do you mean the bolts, which i would have thought would have some sort of threadlock on ...
  9. Buy me these for my Zed pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaase ! Yummy !! I keep drooling, sorry :w00t:
  10. OK so it looks do-able from replies ... so next question is were do I get the tool for the nuts as they are freaky things !
  11. Looking tidy, can't wait to see them on the car :) Mind you, you will be forever cleaning them now they are white !!
  12. I think the cost of 2 pairs of those outweighs the cost of buying the right wheels in the first place :p
  13. Erm , not sure if 2 or 3 piece. They are Enkei Racing S, I have seen a pic of the same wheel (in a different size) split and the spokes were seperate the rim. I have read that they often weld the rims on 3 piece anyhow, and TBH thats not an issue as all I was thinking of doing was splitting so the rims could be polished and the spokes repainted.
  14. Can this be done by anyone capable of wielding a torque wrench, or is it best left to specialists ?
  15. Looks like a nice example, and well looked after :)
  16. Last thing you want to be doing is having an unknown quantity as regards mapping. If you want a bit of pep, then JD or Zedworld are known good suppliers for ECU remaps. It would pay to get things checked over to ensure the car is running spot on beforehand IMO.
  17. I didnt realise that, I thought the converter did the odo too.
  18. And while the camera's out, PM, ahem :whistling: I need to know if I got a trip to Brum in my near future :tt2: I didnt realise it was in need of work, I thought it was a minter !
  19. I'll be happy with Konnie Huq, Holabuby willabubbly, and Abbey Clancy (at the same time preferably :p) ... you can all have the rest :p But I would chuck them all out for Hannah Spearitt
  20. Lol Marty, don't you have enough Zeds already :tt2:
  21. Begs the question if it only need a few little things why hasn't he done it (looks like a trader ?). It would be a damn site easier to sell with 12 months ticket. If it was listed today thats a short listing, might be a nice bargain if your quick ;)
  22. As per Sherrgar's reply, you've got nothing to lose. I have had similar tickets and of the 3 I contested with a polite letter, 1 was cleared. One of the other ones wasn't despite having photo evidence to show there was no parking restriction signs, but at the end of the day it wasn't worth the hassle and expense to fight.
  23. Ok so I have been about a couple of months, but I don't think I posted a hello  so now I have subscribed I thought I should :)
  24. Don't you be posting any F40 pics else I will be making a mess too :p I remember going the opposite way too a 512 on a country road many years back, damn they are wide !
