1. I have managed to pick up a pair of leather seats for my Z with electric drivers side, but my car being a 95 model has manual seats. There is some wiring under the seats, but I presume this is just seatbelt sensors and doesn't have a live feed, or if it did wouldn't be man enough to supply juice to the seat motor ? Were would be the best point to take off a supply for them (I presume I only need a fused +ve feed and can earth on the seat rail mounting bolt) ?
2. Hmmm ... is your car UK or Jap ? I got the genuine nissan aerosols, and it was way out (light), half tempted to try halfords and get them to add a bit more black to darken it up ... But I think i'll pay a pro to do the job :surrender:
3. LoL Yeah the B&B is nice, still prefer the Kakimoto though.
4. At least I think so, maybe you have other ideas, post up a link if so :w00t:
5. Yeah pretty sure Ive seen aftermarket 9.5" rears with 35 offsets fitted on Zeds, which works out at 1mm further out than 9" and 30 ET according to the calculator. I am guessing the fronts would be OK at that as AndyP has the same style fitted. (R33 GTR)
6. You only need to start worrying when the odemeter starts going backwards, and the radio starts playing relevant songs of its own free will:yes:
7. That'll be 'cos I was looking at Andy P (with a space) not AndyP doh ! :blushing:
8. LoL was just going by the last visited Sept 09 on the profile ! :)
9. Cheers Joely P. Looks Like AnyP is no longer active, pity I would have liked to have known if had used spacers, they sit very nice :)
10. The biggest drawback is the drive wheels are the wrong end :p :)
11. I think they should fit pretty well with a 9" rim and offset of 30 ? Just wondering how they would look, anyone got pics ?
12. Ok connectors looked reasonable, but now cleaned with contact cleaner to be sure. I will hook up the laptop after the next run so I know the cars up to full temp and see if the aac is sat at 15 and temp is 80, if not, I should adjust the IACV screw to obtain a reading of 15 ? What should the A/F base read ? I presume the only way this is altered is within the ECU ? Once all readings are correct, should I reset the learning or leave alone ?
13. Thanks for the input :) The first 2 were taken after I had adjusted the tps sensor, but not restarted the car. The third was ign off, tighten tps screws and restarted. Not sure if that will have a bearing on anything ? AFAIK the ECU is bog stock jspec, it still has he speed limiter on. Fan I can check, but I do hear it spinning up if engine is revved while stationary. I can also check the hard idle connection on the tps, does it just prise off or is there a locking tab ?
14. If I read that right, I need to reach 80c before checking the AAC that should read 15 ? ( I would have thought 20 mins idle would have reached temp, but maybe not ?). Then I can adjust if needed using this method ? : http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/adjust-your-idles-rpm-level.html Do all the electrical plugs have some sort of built in plastic clip retainer, or do they just prise off ?
15. The jap bumpers have a recess so the lights are flush, that won't be the case if you add some without substantial reworking. If you want them, get a J spec bumper, otherwise go with Mr Isherwood ;)
16. TPS was reading 0.44 so I adjusted it to 0.46 (I believe thats correct from what I read). Screenies now, first is from cold start, second from when its looks like its up to temp but is still on fast idle, and third once idle had settled, anything on there look amiss ?
17. New adaptor and we have connection :) Now if only I knew what it all means ... but my tps looks right (I believe) at least :)
18. Not as I'll be driving around in the econobox ;) Should have said though, I'm near Cambridge.
19. OK you don't know this, but I am a straight and honest fella, and have a favour to ask anyone not too far away ! What I am after is to borrow one or 2 wheels with tyres for a few days. Basically I am getting my rear tyres swapped and can get them fitted and balanced FOC if I supply them loose and dont mind waiting a day or 3. My prob is its a bit tight to get my car jacked from the o/s from were its kept. So if anyone can loan me a couple of wheels with tyres, I can swap over my wheels and drive it from the nearby carpark back to my drive and repeat when the new tyres are fitted. If you can help, please PM me :)
20. What colour is the car ? What are the second ones ? I like them in that colour.
21. Can't wait to see pics, I think it will look stunning :)
22. AH, thats were the styling of the Sinclair C5 came from ! Not only playing cards with pegs for noise, don't forget the 5ft fibreglass car ariel ! And the gravel rash gained while racing your mates and running out of talent mid corner :)
