Pug 205 GTi
soo cool, and lightness provides the good accel more than the power. The spring in the odometer is weak so clocking in easily spotted by loosely aligned numbers or perhaps the whole bar dropping alittle. If you go off-road (you know.. via a hedge and ditch type of off-road) you can expect a whole wheel to detact. Beyond that I loved it. go-on my son.!!! PS now got a 206 gti (also). Its not the same. alot faster in every respect but quite souless and bad peddle position.

300zx vs 3000gt
shame about the massive rip in your leather seat, Pabsy. I'd rather have the tweed than wires up my RRRR's hahahahahaha. :tt2: ooh and I believe Richard says it all. Wise words.

key doesnt open doors
righto.. so you are sure that it isnt just a replaced ign barrel (therefore new key) fitted to a car that still boasts its original door locks, and the original key is now lost in space?

Rolling road
Slightly off topic, soss, but is that rear pane still available, Rusty? I have still got my eyes on other possibles but you are by far the nearest. :)

Rolling road
It is totally up to the operator and his plan. You can obviously show concern and talk to him to find out his intentions before hand (I'm sure he'll ask you vehicle questions too. He will be fair professional after all). But I would bet good money he will not progress more than roughly 400rpm after peak. Time is money and all that! -Give him an hour and a mortgage payment and he could hand you something more detailed and accurate.

Dead Bright Red Zed
Saw a very shiny Zx pulled over on the Stoke Hammond By-pass (MKeynes/Bletchley to Leighton Buzzard/Bedford). I almost spun back at the next round-a-bout thinking to chat to you but the AA man you had with you seemed to be stood well away up the banking. Was it about to explode? Did it explode? Maybe it had already exploded? I feel for you cos that's the place where you might have been extending ones right digits(lets say).

engine power output Vs age.
I would say if were looking at the long term, stick with 'as Nissan intended'. they tested to the point of exhaustion with parts and variety. More power is easy but will anyways have a knock on effect on something. - but also Nissan have enginnered in a huge margin of safety and it does have to be so huge. The car is yours to decide maint schedule and condition, but I will add that all dyno's read a different figure. Even homologated dyno's (v.rare) show variance on different days. So always go to the same dyno, and ask to see the 'correction figures' each time too. -And dont worry to much about comparing others BHP numbers as they can be so easily be manipulated by the operator. Best of Luck to ya!

engine power output Vs age.
'factors that effect the engines output over time'.Energetic constant engine use helps maintain power. Over revving and neglect destroys everything. Doing Chassis dyno power tests the major hurdle was allways heat- too much. factors: poor eng bay circulation, blocked rad cores, poor levels and type of coolant. heat soaking the air intake tubing and ducts. Wrong spark plugs for fuel and or contaminated fuel. Over filling sump oil also sap figures noticably. so I'd suggest over time that badly chosen body styling changes(airflow) and poor maint are power killers.. but with our cars the beggst factor is corrosion. Corrosion of electric circuitry and cars being left still. EG bores need to be sept by the piston or they corrode thus rings suffer. what do you reckon?

Chipped ECU better MPG?
the best way to get better MPG if you are toying with the ECU is to clear the ROM and do a ROM download that specifcally attends to High MPG. Could you do that with the standard ECUI? I doubt it but an aftermarket version would let you do anything.

Sending a battery?
I have read that Interlink have done so in the past. I would look at the human-in-a-car angle myself. people are always driving places.

I'm in no real rush I suppose. yes this is just an option but can we keep in touch since we both win if this happens? thingyamyjig@hotmail.com.. thats me. Special mention goes out to TurboCraigy and Yowser who both spotted that this was a thread concerning a rear-screen, plus both suggested or confirmed a good sourse of a replacement. Strangely still pondering over a placcy perpex one...HMMMMMM!

Any police or judges on here??
on the back of the ticket will be their contact details. Send of a copy of the photo and a polite enquiry to them. Be nice and just enquire. Get this done before the (two weeks?) payment due day. I think you will be surprised or no worse off. if no luck....Court fees were £60 a couple of years ago and it wont have gone down.then you add the fine... and late payment (normally double the fine) So what do you wanna do?

Please help me.........
so glad we dont think its head gasget or block trouble.. I did kinda quote worst case there. I too am learning the Vg30 because of its age, but have many times seen other in-service engines that when minus more than say a litre of coolant just stir the coolant rather than circulate it. Thus the thermostat reads low but true, due to the coolant being static. ___there's hope for the thermostat yet!
-
Please help me.........
OK can you tell us what colours you have? standard Nissan coolant is dark green and easily shows the brown corrosion. The foam is white? deffo no bubbles?
-
Please help me.........
foaming sorta froth... hopefully not a warped head gasget cos you overheated after runing with a ruined hose therefore no or to low coolant level. but deffo hope not a cracked block or core plug due to (above or) running in the frozen weather. compression test straight away. check state of engine oil. some one else needs to explain about water pumps tho.
