  1. not exactly today but over the last week/10days sent the zed off to have the Bonet/a-pillars/ roof painted, tailgate and sides still need doing but got other work to do in those areas first, so fitted new targa seals, full set of trims, replaced the targa metal panels with a pair of repaired replacements and rebuilt the t-tops including new interior panels and a new roof centre bar. all in all it's certainly lifted the car and tidied it up, wi;; get the rest sorted next year once I've had a few remedial jobs done. just got to sort the large targa seals the roof panels clamp down tight and don't leak, however they do sit a bit high on the front outer corners
  2. invoice was from here 300zx owners club (I've not been on the z-club for many years) invoice/ order number I had through last night was 1328, when I paid back on the 16th April via PayPal the invoice i.d was 1292
  3. hi guys just fired an email off to the club treasurer, I received an invoice through last night for my yearly renewal, but I've already purchased my renewal via the forum back in April.
  4. think the next one is 15th sept, I'm off for a few days so planning on heading over weather permitting
  5. if you are using jp parts to get your part numbers you will find most parts are for the newer models, which in most cases fit but replaced the original parts with upgrades etc
  6. cheers guys, unfortunately I had to work last night so no beers, I will make up for it in a few days time lol
  7. I prefer dinitrol, much better than lanogard
  8. I just replaced mine, not that expensive for the copy rubbers from czp
  9. yes that was at the hill climb , hammond was also there a couple of months back filming for the 2nd series of his workshop show. I doubt he'd appear on one of these thursday events as it's just a park and show event but you never know, I did a dj job for hammond last year really nice guy
  10. there is a monthly meet coming up close to me in gloucestershire, it on a thursday evening, monthly until October. it's £5 per car and runs from 5pm till 9, it's at the Prescott hill site just outside cheltenham it would be good to get a couple of other zeds there https://www.wheelsatprescott.co.uk/home
  11. Passed the mot with flying colours, although did have a slight issue with the mot tester (who also has a zed) he was certain my car wasn’t a series 1, because I’ve got 99 spec lights. Series 2 interior and later style injectors. So was testing emmisions as a ‘cat’ vehicle. Thank god for dvla vehicle check to confirm it’s a 1991 car
  12. just had mine done at infinity in bristol 2.5" with x-pipe reinstated, no idea on rear silencer size they just asked is it auto or manual and picked a silencer to suit
  13. spotted today, red zed with high level spoiler, on the back of a recovery truck in northleach, glos
  14. No, I didn’t want anything too loud, my previous zorst could be heard half a mile away and droned at 2k revs, new one is far quieter
  15. Took them around 2.5 hours to do mine, plus on the x-pipe they have left decent length straight pipes, so I can add middle boxes to tweak the sound
  16. £750 all in, that was for a 2.5” system
  17. Paid a visit to infinity today to finally get my horrendously loud exhaust sorted, much quieter drive home, I was going to pop in and see Jimmer but had to get back for a delivery
  18. buy the pcv hose kit from SFS in the uk, I had Z1 pct hoses and they aren't flouro lined so after 2 years they were seeping oil
  19. pcv valves going bad will cause blue smoke at tick over, they would be my first point to change, it does take 500 miles or so to clear the smoke after new valves
  20. mine does this every year, spray a little wd40 in the bulb holders and let it soak in, probably corrosion in there
  21. i've had 3 brake pipes replaced (the ones that run down the drivers side) as they rubbed together and one burst, I also had a set of braided hoses fitted as the rubber ones were original and were going hard.
  22. Yes, all air is bled, it took my neighbour (who owns a garage) best part of a day to get a decent pedal, the brakes work fine, it’s just the difference in pedal travel between the zed and my 2016 Audi, I just want to try and level them up a bit
  23. Hi guys, been looking at ways to decrease the brake pedal travel on the zed, this come from driving a modern car daily with far less pedal travel than the zed, so I end up nearly going through the windscreen the first few miles on Monday morning. The zed stops fine and has new brake fluid ( after getting the brake pipes replaced) I’ve seen the upgraded bmc banded around saying it has a larger piston to stock etc, do these actually make a difference? Or are there any other ways to decrease pedal travel?
  24. several options, I think z-centre sell stainless downpipes, or an exhaust maker could make you a set, same size as your cat back.
