  1. Welcome to the club Liz. Look forward to meeting you at JAE
  2. Want to meet up with me and Paul for the drive down mate?
  3. Richie k - I'm sorry I didn't reply, I hadn't noticed your comment. Noz sells these mate for £85 delivered - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?180685-AEM-Fuel-pumps-FPRs-EBCs-Wideband-AFR-Kits-amp-MORE!&highlight=Fuel+pump PeterR - welcome to the club mate. Waldron has always been a well known option. As above, Noz sells these on here So it might be worth looking at the above sales thread. I'm sure he put up some details about his testing of them. In addition, these are cheaper than a replacement stock item. I don't really know or understand the technical stuff behind this sort of thing so hopefully noz or someone else might enlighten you if necessary
  4. This is what's on mine Paul. Was given it ages ago. I probably have my old one if you want it?
  5. That looks great andy. Well done mate
  6. Been out and re-done it with the new silicone tube. I measured them against each other and the new tube is too long. I needed to cut about 2cm off it. For the fixing, I straightened the old brackets to give more length and then secured it to them
  7. Good luck mate
  8. Most people sell gearboxes as manual conversions kits these days. Anyway here from £350 upwards, and most more around £400-£500 from memory. Similar prices for a stock TT engine.
  9. Do you have access to conzult or datascan or anything?
  10. Thatnks Paul. that's what I thought I I'm effectively making the tank smaller aren't I.
  11. Hi Ian, I'm not looking to camp. Just coming for the Sunday with not competing etc.
  12. Mine is over 500 at the wheels mate and that was on the standard fuel pump for ages... Albeit the fpcu is bypassed (not too sure what difference that has made though. Andway, I think it gave up the ghost yesterday. I think Jaffa has given sound advice above as per the norm... Yes the injectors are ok over 370bhp as proven by Noel, but you may want to consider new, better ones anyway.
  13. So, the photos you mentioned look like the securing branket have been pulled out to give greater length. I have used them as they are. I used the original silicone tube on the top as well ratger than the linger one supplied. So if the pump is sitting higher then it would have before, does that mean I'll run out of fuel earlier?
  14. This is how it ended up. Think it looks OK. Just concerned about the height. Hopefully it'll work OK. I also worry about wires in petrol but I'm guessing this is fine given that's how its designed.
  15. I'm busy changing out my fuel pump as it finally died (i think). Anyway, I got one of th AEM ones the noz was selling. I'm just wondering how you actually fit it in situ. So the normal pump has the rubber round it that fits into the brackets. The aftermarket one doesn't. So how do you secure it?
  16. What's actually the issue/question
  17. If it's to do some work on a car, wouldn't it be worth trying the likes of Jimmer or Lee Dent etc?
  18. I might make myself a lip for the bumper too lol
  19. Pmsl. You all know it'll be good. Watched some videos, and it'll be piss easy. I even have an awesome soldering iron.
  20. Anyone remember my original zed?
  21. So maybe worth a look as the solder on the injectors just to make sure they're ok?
  22. Of course I would man lol. Saving to be made on health cover pmsl. I'd just watch a youtube video and be a pro - - - Updated - - - I'm just thinking, when there's running issues, I never really think to check the ecu board that's all.
  23. I'm just wondering really, do any of you ever open up the ecu and things to check the solder. Have any of you re-worked the solder or anything? I'm just thinking, would it help in the day to day running of our cars. Do sometimes think, it's better not to fix something that's not broke though lol
