  1. I was driving through Swanley this morning in my Black Z, not seen a silver one around the area though. Will have to keep a look out!!
  2. Was driving off the island yesterday behind a blue z with 'sumo power' stickers on rear. Was trying to keep up in my Yaris but had to pull over for the copper in the 4x4 to get past!!
  3. Could I take 2 as well please. Listened to the band on myspace, very good mate. Let me know how much it will all be when you finalise costs and stuff and I'll sort out payment. All the best mate.
  4. Maz, you were quite correct. Found another hose running up into the regulator. Jubilee clip had a bit of slack, so after managing to get the screwdriver at the right angle tightened it up. Had her running now for over five minutes and no sign of the leak!! Engine bay still smells of petrol but hope that will go in time. The throttle response is significantly improved as well, as with this leak it kind of hesitated before revving. Hopefully this has solved the problem, really appreciate the assistance in this, owe you one!!. Thought I might have had to drive the Yaris to work tomorrow!! Thanks again, Jon
  5. I'll just pop out and have another look! Thanks for the replies so far though, I shall be back!!
  6. It's tricky to see because it's underneath, I'm not 100% but I would say it's possible at the connection, I'm pretty sure it's not the hose.
  7. Everything seems to be pushed in as far as it goes Yassa, I'll have another look at it though. Maz, looking at the engine layout diagram I think it's the fuel pressure regulator area. I should have taken a wider shot to start with!! oops!
  8. Evening folks, I've noticed a strong smell of petrol and hugely reduced fuel economy over the last week or so. This is combined with the zed taking a while to kick in when starting and idling at what sounds like increased revs but not displaying very high on the dial. I had a look this morning and found a pretty fast drip which would account for the fuel loss, it's only happening when the engine has been running for a few minutes. I've attached a couple of pics showing the area, not very well highlighted as I only have paint!! Could you guys offer any advice on this, reckon it's a five minute job or something more serious? Many thanks in advance, Jon
  9. Hello, Just paid for the renewal and sent PM. Jon
  10. Thanks for the reply 300zx Girl, I will sort out the renewal then, many thanks! Yassa, I live near Swanley so not too far really from Chatham. Drive past that way on the way to work everyday! Will definately have to get together for a meet. Is your Zed having work done then?
  11. Thanks for the reply Jeff. Spoke to the garage yesterday (I'm not too confident of their ability!) They are going to get the belts in tomorrow, put more water in the system and start her up to see if there has been any engine damage caused. Apparently they took some hoses off to have a look and there was no water in the system at all, which sounds a bit worrying!
  12. Morning, Was a subscribed member a few years back, but let it lapse when I sold the Z. I want to resubscribe now as I have my new one. Do I need to reapply from scratch or just renew my old subsciption? Many thanks in advance, Jon
  13. Morning All, Well, bit of an emotional journey home last night!! Was driving along when the battery and 'lights' lights came on the dash. Oil pressure dropped right down and the engine temperature started to rise quickly. Got a nasty electrical/rubber smell and smoke through the driver footwell and a small bit out of the bonnet. Turns out that the alternator belt had snapped whilst driving which had obviously stopped the radiator fan working and possibly the oil pump, if there is such a thing? I probably drove for about five minutes with the engine temperature pretty high. I'm getting all the belts changed this morning before they can see if I've done any damage. :( Anyone had this/done this before, and what do you think the chances are of getting away with not doing any lasting damage? In hindsight which I had stopped there and then, but thought I could limp her home!!
  14. I've only just bought another one. She's put a smile on my face so far, even though she's expensive it's very worth!! Think I'll be staying for a while!
  15. She is a little dirty at the moment, but will take some snaps tomorrow. :)
  16. Thanks for all the welcomes. Drove her to work this morning, forgot what it's like not to be able to go slow!!
  17. Will do mate. By the way she is black and the old one was red so I'll have to see which colour is faster!
  18. Afternoon all, I posted on here a few years back, not too much though! I sold my old zed, but after too long have taken the plunge and will be getting my new one tonight!! :D:D She is a 1991 Jap TT, not too much done to her at all. Pretty new racing clutch and gearbox, aftermarket exhausts and spoiler, uprated turbos (not sure which) and that's about it. Will no doubt be on here loads to ask questions when something goes wrong, as I know before more often than not! Look forward to contributing on here. Jon
  19. Just bought World of Warcraft a week ago and I'm hooked, anyone else playing this at the moment?
  20. i had that on my TVR, confused the hell out of people getting in for the first time!!
  21. I've heard that Poppa Dom can be a bit spicy sometimes
  22. Last friday afternoon, coming off roundabout by North Camp shopping street in Aldershot.
  23. Cheers guys, i have grooved and vented discs, but wouldn't expect them to make a clicky sound normally?? It's strange because the actual brakes work fine, not spongy at all. Guess I'm going to need to take it into a garage because I'm not the most mechanically minded. Been reading through the previous threads and there was a couple of recommends for SAS Jap tuning in Aldershot back in 2002, anyone been to this place recently?
