  5. wouldnt it be stronger if an adaptor bracket is made and used instead of relying on a weld to stop the caliper from swinging about

  9. if you upgrade the front and the rears in proportion the the ABS is not effected however the master cylinder and piston are matched to the standard brake performance and even with hydraulic action you may not have enough "capacity" to move the increase in pistons size and amount of pistons their full travel therefore not getting the full potential of the brake upgrade ....... upgrading brakes isnt as easy as just bunging on big discs at the front and leaving it there, like everything else , maintaining the balance is the key

  11. i have just gonr to the toyo proxos II had proxo 1 s before , the tread patern isnt as visualy impressive but the tyres stick like a tenner to an Aberdonian wet or dry ...no issues i would definatley buy them again

  13. mini's are notorious for the wet stuff ......youve probably soaked the coil and Ht leads get to halfrauds and buy some damp start ..spray it everywhere dizzy cap coil and plug leads , alternator etc leave it stand for an hour or two with the bonnet up ( in a dry place ) and hopefully it will start ok ..ive a few minis i know what they are like ..good luck buddy
  14. get an Mp3 player and a cassette adaptor its an empty cassete except for a casette head with a flying lead that plugs into the mp3 then play all your fave tunes through your casette player as normal ..get them off ebay about a fiver

  16. been on one for doing 33 in a 30 ......not even police but one of those plastic wannabes tossers in their white van .....was worth it , quite proactive although i found the instructor very condescending ......next day van there again so i pulled up in his line of vission and lifted my bonnet blocking his camera ....sorry mate ive broke down waiting for the AA ......sat in the car and read my paper till they bogged off ......
  17. Pete what have you done .........sacrilage !!!! ...looking gooooood mate tell me are the nose ducts ( where the front fogs used to be ) interchangeable .. as i would like the intakes facing into the rad to help cooling ..thinking of getting some
  18. jimmer try running it standing still minus the air filter , seeif it impoves !! over fuelling could be caused by air starvation ..blocked filter or air intake pipe !! just a thought mate

  20. does anyone know the size in diameter of the boost pipes ( hard pipes ) upper and lower cheers , im nowhere near my zed its in Rotherham im in kazakhstan steve
  21. thats what i think, i think the spark is being blown out , have you tried a colder plug ? if you have upped the boost , check the gaps again Jimmy steve
  22. oh ...forgot about the daddy of all convertibles ( spelt right this time ) the moggy minor convertible easily fit a rover v8 in there and spares are very easy to come by ....
  23. vauxhaul cresta convertable , some nice 1960 vauxhall tin , and ford tin thats probably been semi restored , i e no rot or tin worm .
