well everybody, my zed is back ....at long long last ...all in all about 6 years away ....two years at zedworld and a year with Jimmer AND three years before that when Duff knackered it the first time around ...and she feels fanbloodytastic...Jimmer has done a truly top job putting the engine back together...sorting out the boost leak actually on the Turbo outlet..( PE 1420's ) only used quarter throttle and it is way way way more healthy than when it came back from zedworld...next job is to clean it thoroughly, give it a good polish and then put it away for the winter ...next year get it out for some meets ...see you all in the spring ...cant say how happy i am cheers Jimmer you are a top top bloke steve

good idea...... my mate has a go pro that he can stick to the body work with suckers .....might do that then i can physically see when i down load the footage ....ive seen it on TV checking for bonnet engine clearance using blue tac or Plasticine

i have always loved these..they say that Porsche is the only every day supercar ...........these are ultra unbreakable and so basic engine tranny wise with the 351 windsor V8 they are good for endless tens of thousands of unstressed miles between basic servicing

wonder if the bussies will turn up with their Breathalyser again ......

hi Stephen no mate i had the HICAS deleted and a lock out bar fitted years ago, the suspension is pretty stiff its all poly bushed and mostly adjustable with stillen anti roll bars front and rear and on K sport coilovers so there is not much body roll as it is set up at the moment steve

I agree with Si take it to Jimmer in Bristol , he treats all zeds that go in like they are his own personal posession and the workmanship reflects that ....it may have problems when you take it on but it will be spot on when you collect it ....it coud be something as simple as the drive shaft or the prop centre bearing housing or Prop being unbalanced...good luck with it matey

it does need dropping a bit for sure , its on coil overs so its relatively easy front seems spot on , maybe a 10 mm drop on there too

thanks guys just one more little hurdle now , the MOT and sticky reluctant to work all the time Gauges , once Jim has sorted those she will be back with me ...seriously cant wait ....pity its close to winter but im sure i will get a few good sunny dry if cold days to enjoy it :)

Cant believe that i am so close to getting my zed back....its been nearly a year but now she is ready . just the MOT to do and get the sticky gauges sorted out then she will be coming home for good..... thanks to Jimmer for treating big red like she was his own ...for never giving up..and for sorting out all the niggles and glitches ...a few hiccups along the way but that is life with zeds... but soon ..very soon i will be a very happy man .....im just thinking do i need to fit small spacers on the back rims just to push them out a tad ...maybe 10 mm ? was hoping not to do this as i paid a lot for the image alloys to be custom built but the measurements were taken wrong *(twice)*and i ended up with the rim depth thats on it ..it doesnt look bad to be honest but i think it should fill the arches more ..what do you think ???

i hope he gets it , cant do any harm to drive the value of 300's up again, far too many drift slags and grotty wrecks kicking about which just drag the value down......although 15k does seem optimistic :)

i like that ..i have the same kenwood head unit in mine at the moment and hate it with a passion ..want something less "bling"

If you need it for star gazing you need a reflecting scope not a lens type mate , bigger and better the mirror , the better the detail
