  1. In 8 months ive done about 15,000 miles (a bit more than a years average milage) and all ive had is slave cylinder for clutch/water pipe/alternator and temp sensor for ecu. Not bad for the age of the car and the 100,000miles its done now :nana2: all other cost are self inflicted...lol

great news :hyper: I know youve had a few set backs along the way but sounds like you got one meaty MoFo now bud :nana2: Enjoy... (like you need to be told fpmsl)
  3. Ok...here goes You have to make several minor modifications along the way one of which is fileing flat the screw head that holds the spring-contact pad in the hicas unit otherwise this will scrape and make an annoying noise :headvswal . This is my hub adaptor :- This is what the spring-contacts look like inside the dismantled HICAS unit :- I had an extra disc come with my hub. Its plastic one side with a conductive plate on the other and there are two small metal pins that fit into the hub/boss that will turn the plastic disc which inturn make the horn contact and also the pins will turn the indicators off like it should do. I used this into the original hicas unit and this red wire will go to the horn button on your steering wheel/boss:- The yellow wire coming from your hicas plug (tape up the others) is for the horn and needs to be reconnected on the terminal shown once you have dismantled and rebuilt the unit...lol...shat picture sorry  :- This is the earth wire onto the hub inside which also goes to the horn button on the steering wheel/boss:- Its been working well for me The hicas unit comes apart by pressing or pulling the little plastic tags on it...(i cant rember) Remember...keep all parts then you can refit it if you ever need to ;) Although its been working well for me :nana2: Before someone posts up and says... "you want a proper hub adaptor mate"...lol Yes it does help... BUT... It aint fookin cheap and this mod is free
  4. lol...Dont know if its safe or not but ive done this to mine :D I have a HICAS eliminator fitted so theres no problems here as it cannot affect anything but if you havnt got one i wouldnt like to say. Theres always gonna be a difference in hubs so this might not work on yours but I will post up the pictures if i can find them 4 ya ;) Basically i took the black plastic round hicas unit apart and used the original contact pads straight onto my horn conductive ring  I have piccys that show all ;) Ultimately you should get the proper boss and so forth but this is how to bodge it :smw: piccys to follow
