:wack: I likewise have cleaned all my connectors now and the PTU... Had new plugs fitted bout 2 weeks ago and still suffering this very ireguler intermitent problem. Although it does seem to come on more within the first couple of miles rather than the later stages of a journey. It was superchipped a few weeks before i bought the car and was wondering if it might be due to the timing not being set properly so excess fuel is not being burnt properly. Any ideas as to what the timing should be set to when chipped? :xxx: Silly question i know ...its like "how longs a piece of string" :xxx: but any rough guides would be handy.

As it happens JEFF TT i did buy the vehicle from worcester(just outside birmingham) from a private seller for 5K in December04 and the original dealer was "AWESOME IMPORTS" based in Bristol who sold it for 7K in March 2004. Its been well looked after and a fine specimen as i had checked out several b4 eventually settling on this one. I just got to put up with the niggling things like no rear 3point seatbelts(just lap belts) and bulbs that just dont fit my IMPORT. Im sure im gonna find a whole list of things that are not compatable with the IMPORT vehicles but thats a journey i'll have to go on at a l8er stage. If any body has a list of what bits do or dont fit JAP/UK versions i'd be happy to read about them. Anyway... Thanks everyone for all your help. CHEERZzzz :duffer:

Right.... Ive bought an Fairlady 2+2 tt IMPORT on a K plate supposedly a 93 model. I have checked my VIN ######510970 using this link:- http://www.aus300zxclub.com/tech/year.htm and it tells me that its a 90 model. On my registration document is says... Date of first registration=01/06/03 (DECL/D MANUF 1993) I have front seatbelts mounted on the doors which "legend has it" were only fitted on pre92 models. So is it a 90 or a 93 model??? Im thinking a 90 model. Any Ideas please?

:confused: Not familier with the electronics on this beast so I could just be talkin a load of VVank but my old BMW M3 had a seperate internal battery for the dash console (size of a 1pence peice) which would be charged via an internal cicuitboard in the Dash/Light console.Might have melted circuitry or blown internal battery .... I havnt a clue if there is such a thing on these babys..Anyone else know???? Dont take my advice though... Wait for one of the site GURU's to tell you. Probably something completely different or simple. So i will bu#ger off now before spillin any more cow poo. Good Luck :confused:
