  1. Just the Sunday davezx. well worth the trip down IMO. Nice laid back atmosphere, few stalls etc to look at and normally well supported by 300ZX owners. Around 20 cars IIRC last year??
  2. not quite unfortunately! Sold my own business this time last year and had a break. But I am now returning to work part time for someone else. Not enough in the pension fund yet!
  3. FYI.... Premier Travel Inn is fully booked. I got in to Holiday Express just off the M1 at the A45 exit for Billing.Twins/doubles etc at £54.95 including breakfast per room. Just booked this week. Eldest daughter and myself will be there Sat nite as I dont do camping
  4. Same applies to me. I will have a trade stand as "Slick Pete- shiny Stuff" Dual purpose stand as I will have my Z Club hat on also as "PMac... Zed Parts for 240Z/260Zs" Traders , cars for sale etc was always an integral part of the Z Club weekend at Billing and has been re instated this year. I dont wish to speak out of turn but there will be other well known traders there too. Not just Dan and me!!!
  5. Have you got an electrical signal at the injector connector?? Easy to check with a noid light.
  6. Dave you have PM . Lets just sort this one out between us and put up the result. As per previous years most of the local Notts and surrounding area members etc will be going.
  7. I will KILL that child when I get hold of her later!!! :headvswal Warning to all members.... DONT let anyone know yer password  anyway.... thanks for the kind wishes. Im off out later for a meal and a couple of :duffer: :duffer:
  8. We are on about Andrew Greenwood's Japanese And Performance Show at Thoresby not the Jap Show at the Pod . Date is Sun 1st Jul I think.
  9. Hi everybody, This is Slick Pete Jnr (Leanne)! I have sneakily logged on as Slick Pete to make this special announcement: I don't suppose he has said anything to anybody, but today is Slick Pete's 60TH BIRTHDAY! :hyper:  :nana2: Yes, you will probably find it hard to believe but today he is in fact 60. I hope as many of you as possible will join me in wishing him a very Happy Birthday! :duffer: Thanks everybody, Leanne
  10. Well its not a National Event is it?? So the NEO wont have organized anything. Our own Midnds Organizers have some personal issues to resolve and AFAIC are not familiar with the show. So...... Shall we just send Vinz early to grab us a slot??? Or maybe a quick phone call to the Andrew Greenwood org would get us a piece of grass to call our own?? PM me to discuss if you want.
  11. Perhaps as a REO you could ask the NEO
  12. An outer sill job could just be a simple clean up and a small patch welded in(NOT ON TOP!!) Orrrrrrrrrrr it could turn in to a somewhat more extensive re-construction exercise as people on here will testify, especially on UK cars. Hard to tell till you get started. Any competent welder/fabricator will be able to tackle this. MJP do replacement sections if needed. Not cheap but the cost of them has to be balanced against the time a welder would spend fabricating the piece from a flat sheet.
  13. My opinion on this is that we simply havent got a day available in July with all the above mentioned events going on. Most of us will be a some of the July events so we will still be in touch anyway. :duffer: And hopefully July will be too hot for Sunday roasts anyway!!! :D
  14. Or we will run out of money to buy it!!! Less than 4 weeks to Thoresby. Jap show at da Pod on 23/24.(24th will be the best day. IMO) There will also be a Tues meet at Ashby folville on the 12th I think??
  15. Well approximately 15 to 20% of members on here have NAs. as opposed to TTs. And most of us chose an NA. So clearly we dont agree with your view that the TT is the obvious choice. And another 15 to 20% of us think that the 2+2 is a naff choice as we own 2 seater SWB models which we have deliberately chosen. And finally a number of us do have complete replacement lights at the back cos we think the stock lights look dated and naff. No I dont mind you having different views to me about what car is best but as StellaZ has said there are lots of people who see the car differently to you, but we dont come on here calling other peoples car choice naff. So welcome to our club and forum. Enjoy. :D
  16. Dont tell Burnsie! FFS  :D :D :D :D
  17. I think price is one of the main reasons many people go for one piece props due to the high cost of fully rebuilding the stock prop complete with the expensive "Nissan" carrier bearing. In my case weight loss and rigidity in the drive train were the reasons which is why I opted for a ridiculously expensive Carbon fibre one piece. perhaps the way forward in the UK is to find a company to produce a one piece steel shaft to high tolerances.
  18. Im making one from an assortment of write offs/breakers. At the last count over 6 cars have contributed to the rolling shell stage. Maybe driveable soon???? Well... soonish...!!! :o Well sometime anyway.
  19. I have a one piece prop that was completely satisfactory on my old SWB. IMO there is no need for a complicated two piece prop on a 2 seater. May be a different story on a LWB tho. I have no experience on that score. The main problem with a one piece is that it takes all the absorption facility out of the drive train(ie the rubber carrier) so it instantly emphasises any other slight wear in the drive train. Many of the one piece props are made by "unskilled or at best semiskilled" labour down Mexico way. Hence tolerances may be well outside those originally laid down by Nissan.
  20. What Dave has said. Tragic.
  21. Sorry to hear that Dave.
  22. No mate. not Tweaky. Its Paul. Lives down London somewhere.
