  1. Many many early UK cars are now full of nasty rust. Im not saying this one is but I would think very carefully about buying. Deffo needs to be on a ramp for a full inspection BEFORE parting with any coin. Caveat emptor.
  2. Itys just a whitewashed semi in a residential street. there is an elderly asian looking lady in the garden who doesnt look like she is selling any motas. However appearances can be deceptive:innocent: photo location is similar to someone who used to sell cars on this forum from slough:sneaky2:
  3. I bet its not a TT. Cos if it was they would have it plastered all over the advert:innocent:
  4. I put some front uprated lowering springs up for sale a few weeks ago. Still got them
  5. LOL! It was a lovely motor before that lampost jumped out and hit it. I helped Yaseen strip the car after I brought it back to my house from Jeffs old place in Tamworth. I only had the stripped rolling shell . yaseen sold all the good stuff from it and you were obviously one of the buyers. I subsequently re panelled it from several breakers I bought over the following 3 years.
  6. LOL!!! You must be reading my mind! I have just been looking back at the damage pics and some when it was on the jig. Then we could hardly get the bloody thing on the trailer cos of them wide wheels:huh:
  7. Well almost 4 years after Yaseen left his damaged slicktop TT shell at my place it fired up in its new NA guise. Only on 3/4 cylinders cos it still has the same petrol in it! And the engine fitted at the moment has been sitting around as long or longer than the car, much of the time outside. However it was a happy moment and Im sure some new fresh petrol , plug clean and a check on some (probably green ) injector connectors will have it up on 6 cylinders. The engine itself was fully 100% OK and tested before I removed it from its last shell all those years ago. Woohoo!!:nana2::nana2:
  8. Not yet!! Car not finished. once again a bead of black silicone down each side will only appeal to those tending toward the motorsport look.
  9. Here is my solution!!!! Not to everyones taste Im sure. Winscreen will just be bonded in normally then a bead of black silicone run down each side.
  10. They are not all alloy. Some are steel. dimensions are different and it wont go in your family estate boot.
  11. Wot Paul said. Easily summed up .......Andy is a top banana:thumbup:
  12. But it was under a hundred miles to get there for an absolute bargain:huh:
  13. Very nice indeed. OMP do some very nice motorsport accessories. This is a classic 3 spoke with holes in spokes. the suede finish gives it that modern "motorsport look." Im not personally keen on the "contrasting stitching" look but thats probably cos Im a boring old fart:tt2:
  14. Just go and help him on the farm with a few jobs..that should do it. Even if you dont want to do the work yourself it will give you time to save up to get it done. the car world is awash with cheap bangers for little money. My future son in law is a salesman at a main dealer. He had a 2001 fully loaded 1.8 i petrol Vectra in at the weekend. one owner .some history. less than 100000mls and in top cond. I could have had that for £1100. Plenty of older sub £1K stuff around too from private sellers
  15. i used a( cheaper than Legraths) Cobra model.. the Monaco in my old slicktop. but still FIA approved. Like David im a fan of fixed back seats. They are made in the correct shape for fast driving. BEFORE buying ANY fixed back seat you need to actually sit in them to see how you feel/fit. And if you have a regular/frequent passenger they too need to be involved. Sitting in a well fitting fixed back seat is a great way to drive . Sitting in the wrong one is awful. End of serious bit. Recling seats are for pimps n cruisers................................... and girls!!!:rofl::rofl:
  16. Get a cheap run around and decide on a course of action later on the zed. At least you have a farm to hide it on till you are ready
  17. Thanks for your reply mate. Sorry to hear about unemployment threats. Not nice for younger people at all.
  18. Thanks Chris. That must have been just when I got it. It still runs just as sweet and it has a few extras on it now.
  19. Wot he said!:thumbup1:
  20. Yep its coming close to the time when I need to say "goodbye" to my 1995 Version S SWB NA man Slicktop. My new slicktop is approaching completion and I cant really justify keeping this one. So today i have been refreshing the back brakes ready for an MOT later in the week hopefully!:innocent: Then it will be time to put up an advert. I bought this car in nov 2007 from the importer in Birmingham. It was a new import in Oct 2007. I am the only UK driver. It was registered in the dealers name then transferred to me. In the past several members expressed an interest in owning this car so now its coming for anyone interested... Advert to follow soon with full spec, pics and price.:chinese: Meantime here are a couple of pics. First two are when it was on display at the dealer. Others of work in progress today.
  21. not now there aint!!!!
  22. Cheerz! The kicking bit seems to have worked. Turned it upside down and kicked downwards:sweatdrop:
