  1. IIRC its a price to do work on a customers wheel.
  2. Here is an extract from our resident leather re trim guru...Mondo. Your one is mint as is so wont need recovering........
  3. It looks like it. So remove ALL the locks and sell as a set. including glove box lock.
  4. You will be getting many requests for that steering wheel I reckon>:drool:
  5. Time for an update. Meister Rs back on. Rear end and floorpan re -Waxoyled. Wheels all on with centre caps. Thats the best match I could do with the paint on the centre caps. It looks good from a distance!! And acceptable when close. My new cheap(ish) speed sensor is on the way from the US. I rang my insurance to arrange cover to start on the policy renewal date which is Jun 30. Two hours later I had an email with a new cover note attached with immediate effect. The best bit was they didnt charge any "adjustment fee".:thumbup: BTW... Did I mention already that I love my new SE37s???:biggrin::biggrin: What a bargain buy:thumbup1:
  6. I am sorry to see that this has not gone well for you. I see you have started a breaking thread for the car. I hope you realise the enormity of that task. The 300ZX is a large and fairly complex car for its era. Nissan were experts at hiding screws and fixings that makes stripping a long and tedious task. You will spend many many tens of hours on this plus the time to photo parts and communicate with buyers. Then there is the logistics of buying packaging materials, wrapping, weighing and measuring and getting quotes for shipping. There are a range of couriers some of whom have "drop off" locations for smaller items. Larger and heavier items need to be picked up. Having someone at the collection address all day for one pickup is a tedious job in itself. Maximising your return of money requires some knowledge of the 300ZX parts market. It's very easy to end up selling a small low value part that really should be sold as part of a larger kit or set of parts and to spend a lot of time doing so. All the above written IMHO and intended to be helpful not critical.
  7. I bet it feels better already. You "before" settings were pretty dire.
  8. Look forward to that. You probably need to take the Powertrix stuff off the car and clean/free up etc on the bench.
  9. And the results were........................................????
  10. Here are my settings that I have used for a number of years. they work well for a fast road car situation. My increased track confidence means I have been wearing outer edges on the front so Im going to get that front camber increased. And Maybe a little more castor too. Front. Camber 1.39 -ve. Castor 9.10. toe 0.01 average. Rear. Camber 1.28 -ve Toe 0,14 I dont have adjustable rear castor arms so no readings were done.
  11. Our US friends have a better description of them really ....anti sway bars. My Stillen uprated bars are an integral part of my handling package. Complete with their adjustable drop links.
  12. Just make sure you get 4kg and 6kg rate springs. Anything higher on a SWB just kills the handling and causes the rear end to hop and skip about in an alarming manner. The concept of using the lower rates was developed by Meister many years ago with some input from a former SWB owner who was on this forum. Andy Isherwood.
  13. Im with alic on this one. 18s. IMO I dont like the first set you posted with a 90 degree bend in the spoke.
  14. Over the weekend i have had a chance to investigate the non/sometimes working speedo. Removal of the speed convertor didnt help. Swapping to another gauge set didnt work. My mate brought his oscilloscope and we looked at/for a signal. There was no signal at low revs just behind the cluster and only a scattered signal at higher revs/speeds. Removal of the speed sensor and subsequent bench testing revealed the culprit. I have ordered a new one from the USA. 28 years of working before failure is not too bad IMO. While I wait for that to arrive it is time for a clean up and re waxoyl on the underside. Without doubt the Meister R coilovers are one on the best mods I did during building this car. After six years they are still in great condition. But as Im planning on a suspension re -adjust soon I took them off for a quick clean and re grease. Here is a quick before n after pic.
  15. Its on my "to do" list. I dont want to spontaneously combust!!!
  16. I have just done a pointless tacky mod to my slicktop today.. In my defense ........it was free:whistling: Even that probably doesnt justify doing it:laugh: The before and after pics are underwhelming............................. AFTER BEFORE
  17. Set of three piece split rim alloys. 17" 8.5 and 9.5. Not sure on offset but looks quite high +45?? Made by Taneisha, one on Japans premier forged wheel plants. These arrived at my place on a 300ZX . They had the bolt on hubcentric spacers on the front and I believe these are required to fit on a 300ZX with std brakes. They are included with the wheels. They were originally gold anodized . Centres are now a mid/dark grey metallic colour. No major damage or curbing. Some work required to get them in top condition. Check out the pictures. If you already have spacers then £100 for the wheels. I dont need them now I have my new Volk SE37s Ideally I would like collection so you see exactly what you are getting. I do however have four cardboard boxes of the correct size to ship them. I can pack so you can arrange a courier pick up. Email me or call to discuss or PM pmaczc@madasafish.com. 07778 411568
  18. Black 2+2 boot carpet. In good condition. As discussed elsewhere this appears to be a later series item? Rubber backed not hessian. https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?189242-Boot-carpet. Whatever.... its no use to me. Anyone want it? I can ship it to a UK address. Send me your postcode for a quote. Its too long a parcel for some services. Not subscribed.. Email me at pmaczc@madasafish.com
  19. Im sorry to hear that. It does confirm my worst fear about your car. A couple of members did comment at the time about overspray on rubber seals etc. The lower coach line missing also and paint on the tow hooks did point to a quick respray to get it sold.IMO of course. Has it been re sprayed in the correct white pearl??. I hope so for your sake. Its a fab colour when done right.
  20. Work??? ....I remember when I used to work! Every Monday is a bank holiday for me.
  21. And that choice is one of the most popular combinations used on a 300ZX.:thumbup1:
  22. The latest car I ever broke was a 94 so probably from that then??? Unless one of the others had a later carpet in it?? The slots are for the luggage straps?? Its in nice condition as it has been in dry storage for a long time...... Wots it wurf then?? I better get an advert done:thumbup1:
