  3. Best position for the 99 spoiler is on my bootlid Darren. Your antique model doesn't need one

  5. Isn't there some inserts you can buy? Guess I should consider some as everyone expects a 99 to have them lol
  6. Look forward to seeing it at JAE Paul! ;)
  7. Looking forward to watching this thread progress Tom! Did you sell your red NA? And yeah you'll be loving the TT when it's ready!
  8. Is it actually possible to remove them without breaking?! Must be a method, surely
  9. Wow that looks cracking Jeff, I assumed it was just 20 years of grime under the hood! What did you use to get it shifted?
  10. Neil's one of the nicest chaps I've met from the club and looking forward to hopefully seeing his Z at a meet or show this year. A well worthy COTM winner!
  11. Used the Z for a few journeys yesterday which would usually be in a boring diesel family wagon. Drove past the airfield I use for pics so thought it would be rude not to stop.
  12. Haha! Amen to that :)
  13. Thanks for the technical reply Jeff, will give it a good going over at the weekend and start working through the list. I did wonder about a light on the dash as the ecu still has the turn screw for engaging diag mode. It's just strange that it drove back with no issues whatsoever and started that morning then went tits up in the afternoon.
  14. Sorry mate didn't realise you had commented on OBD2 on the other thread. No flashing light on later models. Was hoping for at least a flashing light on the dash... But no nothing, so need to either get conzult on it or a code reader.
  15. Surely it takes more brainpower to try and spell ofay!
  16. PMSL! Andy what do you think it might be that's causing it? I'm still within my rights to brag as I still love the car even if I can't drive it lol
  17. I have got a multimeter yes, the tps is different to any I've seen before, some big bulky hitachi thing. There's a way of checking isn't there?
  18. yeah good point! I did change a blown tail lamp bulb between it starting and not starting - maybe I cursed it :(
  19. Got an issue with my Z already lol, I don't think it's much and there must be a theory behind it so would be greatful if you could throw some ideas up :) It's refusing to start. The first turn of the key and it starts but cuts out after a second. It then doesn't fire at all but I can smell fuel after a little cranking. I figured out today that if you start it with the throttle open it starts and runs with no problem, but as soon as the revs die down it cuts out and resorts to not firing again. As its a late model there's no ecu diagnostic light and I've not got hold of an OBD2 reader yet so can't check for codes. But there must be a reason why it runs with the throttle open but my limited knowledge isn't enough to work it out lol. Any ideas? It started fine when I collected it, when i stopped for fuel, stopped to pick the boy up from granny's, moved the car the next morning, but it was that afternoon when it wouldn't start.
  20. Haha no wide arches on this one, but maybe some different wheels and suspension alterations to help with the stance, although I do think it looks awesome as it is :)
  21. Thanks guys I've definately got the Z bug back! Steve - as far as I know there was only ever one style of '99 front bumper, regardless of model. Devil - midnight purple is the best colour but good luck finding one! I only know of one other one in the uk, but would like to find out if there's more! Pics on a cloudy day don't do it justice. Can't wait for the sun to get on it!
