  3. You're more than welcome mate :) Thanks Tony. I still want to go the 240/260/280Z route but will need to postpone it until after I've moved house and got room for two toys. Lol

  9. As some of you would have seen on another thread I treated myself to a new 300zx this weekend. It's a very late model, series 6 1999 model in midnight purple  I took a huge gamble with the car buying it blind off eBay with a description identical to one a few years back and terrible photos. It was previously in the club and owned by forum member Craig David (Tim) who was the first UK owner. He took great care of the car but unfortunately it was passed around an Albanian family after that and with numerous trips to Albania and back and seemingly never been cleaned it had been neglected and was grimey and slimey and generally un-cared for. I managed to negotiate on the price and got it for a good price. The journey home of 120 miles was cracking and it drives perfectly. I've spent the last few months lusting after a '70s Datsun Z car and was lined up to import one from the states, but this came up and I just had to have it. I couldn't help but notice how much I felt at home driving the Z back! Sunday morning came round and I couldn't wait to get the car washed and polished and looking half reasonable again. It did need a bloody good scrub, and I only had time for a quick polish, but as you can see from the pictures it's starting to look like a cared-for car once again, and call me sad but I can't stop looking at pictures of it  well chuffed. And the colour is gorgeous :) Here's some pics, a few befores and afters too.

  15. Gio, do you have a link / manufacturer of your little gizmo? I'm thinking it would be handy as the car runs OBD2 so no option of ecu diagnostics with no specialist gear.

  17. It reads in MPH, clocks look cracking at night (red illumination) On a side note roobarb, do you know how many purple zeds there are in the UK?
  18. I'll put a thread up tomorrow with some before pics. A grubby grimey unloved car that's been to Albania and back several times and probably never been washed since Tim sold it. Drives absolutely perfect, was a great 120 mile trip back. As for plans... Well nothing lairy, different wheels probably, and a nice stance. Possibly a spoiler but I'm not crazy over the '99 spoiler. Long term plans may include a TT engine and a manual conversion. But for now I'm just gonna enjoy owning and driving one of the newest Z32s in the best colour :tt2:
  19. Ta-da... Yeah it needed a bloody good scrub! This was just a quick job, will do a proper clean when I get time! And for the record Si... I haggled too, and got it for £1.98k
  20. They definately suit grey zeds, I do like the crystal ones though
  21. Some nice touches there Bri... Coming along nicely, as for the exhaust... On the fence..
  22. L reg, impul front bumper? If so I've seen that one round town a few times!

Very nice Dan, my favourite of the non-dishy wheels. Don't forget you need 4 :tt2:
  24. Some proper sports cars in that magazine. Like the VW Passat.
