  1. You kept threatening. Oh well I'm sure il manage chat shit with you in May still.
  2. Tbh mate it will be far more predictable and easier to control without bloody hicas.
  3. As above, hicas isn't related to the diff. Unless it's faulty it shouldn't be operating out of a certain speed range. The vicious diff may well be your problem and therefore ways round that. I would recommend you speak to sy-gt and cowpatmatt, the later is a semi pro drifter who drives a z32. If there's cosiderations to be made he's likely done it.

List updated, cheers moby, nice to see and old face sign in. Is the car on the road currently?
  5. I have an OEM pair, I'm not parting with them.
  6. I don't think we will get what you guys are expecting. The z33/34 both performance and budget wise are more like the s13/14 they're certainly not upto par quality and performance wise to what the z32 was 25 years ago. The z32 was equal to the r32, the z34 is no where near equal to the r35. The r35 really is an r34 z32 concept, coupe looks v6 platform 4wd and bags of power. So niether skyline nor zed hence why the skyline badge is dropped opting for simply GTR. I would expect the new z35 to cone with various options including a 4pot turbo. Don't go expecting a sleek 5-600hp super coupe :(
  7. If you were using it as a drift car or other high rev applications, it would be better for engine longevity. Less chance of det. Many high performance modern cars are rev limited like this anyways, rather than the traditional fuel cut method. For most people esp the civic crowd it's for show. I do however like the idea of spitting flames during a full boost gear shift like a rally car or full blown race car.
  8. Basically the rich mixture that comes out the exhaust, as obviously the no spark scenario causes this, explodes as it hits the heat of the exhaust. You will notice that black smoke cones with It, that's the rich mix showings It's not overly

Welcome, your on the list now. I recognise the user name, possibly from 350uk or zclub? Welcome back to the dark side.
  10. I just thinking the very same Richard, although the 850 isn't a very common car sadly
  11. I thought it had a wide arch kit. Yeah nice looking car that.
  12. That's a fair shout as I've had to get hold of the cert when the PO didn't provide it. So there's nothing stopping you getting it's certificated.
  13. Just makes a nice chance to be giving it out, rather than receiving it haha. You are of corse correct though, I think it's because, let's face it there hardly professionals. Generally it's done at the same place they sell all the audio gear. Some mid twenties chav I twarks liek tat bruv. Generally.
  14. "Do alarm installers really don't give a toss or something." Ey? LMAO that's one of those double negative sentences. :p
  15. There was a recent discussion on acid dipping on zclub. Various people including myself pointed out it can cause more problems than it solves. As gaz said soda blasting is good.
  16. Don't think il bother. . . . . . . . I joke of corse and will likely being doing a stop over for the whole event.
  17. Very subtle, I'm guessing the cause of the one intercooler vent fin was to follow the line? I've often thought about chopping those out, ice seen it done before and it has looked like well like it's been chopped out but your blends in better. Did you do it all yourself? Looks pretty well blended generally.
  18. The problem is mostly related to piss poor magic in that barstard computermebob.
  19. As silver line says tuning an na is a fairly similar principal. It needs to breath, although with na's more attention needs to be put into how it breathes as it can alter the driving characteristics. Tbh with you though it's a waste. Tuning any na engine is often not very effective. To gain a 50% hike in power is going to mean a lot of hardwork and money. It is far cheaper to in plummet sone kind of forced induction.
  20. Really silly suggestion so forgive me, but this rubbing noise has scared me a few times. Fan shroud isn't rubbing on the fan is it?
  21. Yeah, that figure is the guesstimate for reliability. Based upon age and wear. Plenty of people in the US of A are running over 600 on a stock bottom end, Jaffa is running good numbers under track conditions. The issue is how long does will it last, the answer is the more power the shorter time. However if your bottom end is already damaged, most don't even know. At that point well it won't last long, the resultant failure could render your shiney new turbos a write off too. Net result false economy.
  22. Nissan were the first to have to apply the 280 limit, the 300 was the first car to have it apply, they soon realised they could be liberal with roughly 280 with cars throwing out more than 300 or so. It went out the window fairly quickly I think. The z32 could have had an ecu that was better mapped, or run at more respectable 12psi. It would have broken 280 though, he'll there's even two restrictor rings in the mid pipes to reduce HP a few. It's not that it fell short, it was deliberately strangled.
