  1. Can't help but it's looking good bud.
  2. Nice, first time I've seen it actually. Nice subtle touches. One thing I'm not keen on though is the stock on plate, looks like a digital seagull shat on your nose cone. ;)
  3. Some top quality info there from a professional. Cheers for clarifying there Steve, I'm guessing the inconnel helps with longevity rather than outright functionality?
  4. I assume he's regfering to the exhaust valves, as the heat increases here as Psi increases? Yeah? It reads that the cams arn't suitable though to me.
  5. Where do you find them Scott?
  6. Was it competitive ie a few hundred quid
  7. Il level with you. Taking the heads off and reseating the valves, skimming it all etc is a fools erron if that's all you do. Even getting the heads off will require engine removal. The engine layout means manifolds cannot be removed with the turbos still in situe. So they have to come off to get the head off. By that point your whole life was quicker just removing the block and doing it on the bench. The engine in these cars are solid, like 600+hp on stock internals or 300k miles, IF WELL looked after. Yours I'm guessing overheats if it's overflowing the rad to that degree...that would tell me it hasn't been well looked after. Now you've decided to do a courageous expensive and worthwhile thing, I applaud you for this. First things first is to work out just how good/bad that engine is. Once that's done it's simply a case of doing it right, if the block is dead as a do do, joe down at the local garage will not be able to be competitive quality and maybe price wise to a professional VG30DETT engine builder. Getting to know your way round these engines reduces labour considerably. There is only one professional engine builder in this country for these cars, fortunately not only is he a nice bloke he's damn good at his job. A quick chat with him by calling powerzed will let you go forward. With a solid and reliable engine, the bodywork taken care of you will be laughing in a quick comfy 90s super gt with as much power as you decided upon. Good luck
  8. We could just let nature solve these problems the way intended? Or are we a bit soft in te head for that and need babysitting.
  9. Exactly that. So many people get in the car and drive from a to b without any thought outside thier safe box. The thing is 99% of the time they get away with it. I've maintained for a long time speed does not kill, not devoting adequate attention to the task in hand is what kills. Sometimes that adequate attention is it's pissing it down or too busy to be going that fast. That's not a case of driving fast equals accidents, it's a case of not applying yourself properly. If I'm totally honest with myself, in general. If I get caught speeding I wasn't paying enough attention to be speeding to start with esp if it's by a static yellow box on a pole for christs sake. It's though but it's honest.
  10. My parents live in rural France, you actually see people indicate move to the outside lane and retain the signal till they finish the manicure which was to overtake, in the overtaking lane. Not the "fast lane" In contrast my partners father lives in Leon, worst standard if driving ever. Parking distance sensors are just the bumpers. The lack of respect for other peoples property is appalling. I think the main issue here is the roads are actually TOO safe! It makes people lazy and complacent. With that comes stupidity.
  11. It's likely the one that runs along the front subframe, they rot out. It was probably just one step to far and it's torn/seperated(popped off)/split etc. fill it up and see where it comes out. I take it the reservoir is empty?
  12. Sounds like the fluid has drained out, without it you have no PS. It will be heavy as arse. You could try limping it back by topping up the res but u suspect something popped off.
  13. Lovely wheels.
  14. That was the first thing I looked at, it's an extremly late car. No boost gauge etc certainly not a series 1. Tbh is 5k too much for a late spec car? I don't think it is no. If a bidding war had started between two parties then yes certain could happen. Time will tell if the monies get coughed up hopefully they will show up here, where they will be welcome. That bumper takes about 3k off the market value of that shorty mark.
  15. I saw one for sale yesterday for £60k lovely little beast.
  16. Yeah 3cyl engines always sound great... There was a 1L or 1.5L cosworth that made 1000hp at 12000rpm, it was a mid 90s block Si hardly new.
  17. Thought they'd be that kind of cost, £180 plus tax and post from oz. so circa £400 to source and fit the calipers then you need discs too.
  18. Do you mind me asking where and how much the brake adaptors were?
  19. He deliberately wanted it like that...why I dunno apparently it looks cool.

    Nearly 20 now :)
  23. That's a lovely idea. Great way to decide if you want HICAS or not there's only one problem. The main cause for concerns with it is it's broken. No amount of disabling it's hydrolics is going to fix the rice pudding that is supposed to be your hicas bushes. By all means delete it, I will be, just realise that the car has had 20+ years of stress on all those components. It's be tired after all those years lugging all that weight, Infact I am tired, I need a lye in someday.
  24. That bottom picture is hilarious, I take a fair but of amusement in the uneasy pose by Richard. Also note the photo contains Ianl which is mandatory quality, he is in every photo.
