  1. Isn't that Leo's car? If it is it's got a jimmer block in it, looks a good car for the money, late spec rebuilt clean etc potentially rapid with the right mapping.
  2. Is it completely odd that part of me wishes to revert to my 300kph clock? To creams in kph

  4. Was it the veilside basking shark with a moustache, face bumper?
  5. Totally agree with Si. The 89 and 94 spoilers don't compliment each other the lines are wrong, it would look like some kid has stuck a spoiler from halfords ontop of another spoiler, which is effectively what your suggesting. The only way to do it nicely would to modify it heavily, at which point it will look like the zeemax one.
  6. Good to see people still adding their names too this list, once that sum comes out you will all be wanting in haha. I heard a rumour wee set for the hottest dryest summer we have has for a while...also being out and out over the fields in the countryside I can tell you down here at least spring is coming in fast flood water or no floodwater!
  7. I aspire to that but I just don't have the inclination. I drive to hard and don't have enough free time. Somewhere near that is achievable though.
  8. Told off by a number of people? Lol
  9. Noel I need you to tune my car, stock boost with 0.8mm gap it boosts to red line but over fuels on the over run and the stock gap stops the smoke but then I get preingniton. Pisses me off. Can we discuss costings and time please. Think I should be ready end of April?
  10. You can buy brand new shoes from conceptua for reasonable money.
  11. Lol it wouldn't be quite that dramatic Si, yeah oem + is what I want to achieve with my car. Which is a lanky base like your own. :)
  12. I'm guessing expensive, can you imagine the possibilities. A set of 17" fronts and 19" rears with the correct offsets 11" rears dirt loads of dish :)
  13. I only said usually, next time I will use the capitals :p
  14. Squeeling on start up is usually a loose belt mate. There's 3 down there so plenty of oppertunity to slip and squeal. As revs rise and heat gets into it it tends to grab and stop squeezing .
  15. Part of me wants that car so badly, however id end up frankenstining it with my own, as the cloth interior is hideous I couldn't own an na auto by which point it wouldn't be very original or genuine which sort of defeats the object. Its a lot of effort and expense to get it to the same spec as what I have just with a later model shell.....Much easier to just add the facelift bumper and keep old frankenwennie.
  16. Just need to run a suitable a line from the plenum to the gauge. I've got one to fit but I just can't find a gauge pod I like.
  17. Either the sensor had failed the or gauge itself. They are notoriously inaccurate anyways and only read to like 10psi
  18. Was starting to worry about you Si, very quiet over the last few days. Has the flood water hit you?
  19. Most likely the 20 year old gearbox oil mate the mt90 will likely make all the difference. You will want a sump plug key to make life easier. If you want to borrow a set I have a set but they're cheap enough from halfraids. Top tip, undo the side one first! If it's seized you've still got oil, if you drain it first you get the idea...
  20. And there in lies the key. These cars are at best 15/16 years old but generally 20+ years old. With 100k miles on the clock. Now even a 3 year old car with those kinda miles feels not 100% so it's a miracle that they feel as good as they do. Once you start pulling your car apart you will quickly discover your the first normally. Sloppy tired bushes leaky dampers rusty saggy springs. When I got mine at first I found it boring it had to pushed so much further to be on the edge and fun compared to my Capri, which was sorted for a Capri it handled very well. Some time passed and I switched the wheels and the the saggy old shocks and then had an alignment done. Holy hell that transformed the car! I'm now working my way through every bush and component to get it refreshed and I expect the result to be quite profound again. Taking the handling of these old cars for what the one you have is, is a bad measure some are honestly shot under there and will handle like it. The best people to ask or watch in terms of how well can they should they handle is Jaffa and bob. Neither of those cars are stupidly modded suspension wise just refreshed and uprated, no cutting the floor off and welding in this bar or that support. If you think it handles poorly I urge you to inspect it before you end up up a tree via they shouldn't feel loose wobbly or unpredictable at all. Aside from that bloody hicas system trying to catch you out.
