  1. Dorset Cyder is better :p Cornish is best yummy rattler.
  2. TBF a lot of people count the mot as maintenance, "it's in great condition, passed it's MOT last week" etc, so it's pretty important to get those numpties in once a year to check their crap boxes over, we have all seen them, exhaust falling off trim hanging out. I think if they ever do increase the lifespan of the MOT to two years the accident rate will go up. I know most of my other halfs friends don't know they need to check oil and water and tyres etc you know the basic stuff.
  3. Mine will rot eventually, there is some surface there being picky but the inside is clean (I've checked) I filled it with some paint while I was there. I plan to get it properly protected, my sill and chassis rails need re under sealing from bad jacking.
  4. Exactly that Jeff I'd rather know if it's not right, but when you know there's nothing wrong and someone's trying to dupe you it's not cool. I probably spend more time under that car than in it so I know every nut and bolt, if it's not right I likely already know about it. Thankfully I have now found a chap who is reasonable and is happy for me to take the opportunity come mot time to have a good look under myself while it's up there.
  5. I think some testers are just desperate to fail cars, one place mine came out with a list of advisorys as long as your arm. It passed but he made out he had done me a favour. The car had been at zedworld the year before and only done like 3k miles, I liked couldn't see any of them aside from the rear tyres on the markers(they love that one don't they, unless they are spanking new they are always worn apparently) mot it a year later somewhere else, he commented on how clean and together the car was for its age... Good luck, bet it passes.
  6. Gt and giant have always been good value for money. Cycling is one those things you can seriously spend money on, my BMX when I built it cost nearly as much as my zed did to buy, or would have done if I hadn't been jammy and smart. My mate was a manager at a bike shop and a lot of it was imported so I didn't pay UK market value for anything, for example the frame was £390 over here I paid $300 big difference. Really you need to work out what you need, if you simply want to ride a mile or two to work each day a hard tail mountain bike for a few hundred will be fine and allow you to do some trail riding etc. If however you want it to race or travel long distances your going to start having to look at a dedicated road bike, personally road rising is boring. So on a so forth, you just need to work out what you intended to use it for, you very much get what you pay for though. A cheap bike won't last.
  7. I knew that would be asked haha, working on last year as a model first entry was at 9.30, they haven't as far as I'm aware set that time openly yet, maybe Si could clarify. Based upon that assumption 9am at Applemore would give a nice time and allow for the late comers, I was late myself last year.
  8. If anyone wishes to meet at the traditional spot to cruise in, in convoy (this should ensure the majority arrive together as requested) rally point is; Sizer Way Dibden Southampton Hampshire SO45 5JA England The judging is being done at approx 2pm, so don't do a disappearing act and be one if the two inside with no signal when yours being nominated for best in show! (Scott and Gaz) haha.
  9. I take it that some EU enforced bull shit?
  10. That's why I brought crystals, I did the same damn thing then decided sack it!
  11. Lol yeah, seems that way. Christ Pete you making a habit out if it? Probably go in your shed and find a lampshade made out of people skin.
  12. What's hilarious is if you open the thread and join at the end all you have is this; Which reads as if zed-racer is some kind of sadist! Haha We have also learnt that; veilside is apparently from Texas, and grew up on a whale farm by the looks of it. Simon can run an old lady over after he has "past" "passed" or which witch is what... Spin doctor, well he is wondering if the woman had a mango in her pocket because that would mean simon left it out. (I jest with you all of corse) Glad the cars alright, I had this happen to me in Bristol but I managed to swerve and brake avoiding her, girl on her phone tripped off the curb. Not fun.
  13. Any more thoughts from you guys?
  14. Don't forget were trying to merge the southern counties higher up country :)
  15. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?163503-seriously-disheartened-now-and-just-wanna-burn-the-car-help!/page3&highlight=Turbo+failure That's how mine looked. Also read this, should help clear up some things, lots of miss information. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?168457-Interesting-article-here-about-turbo-seal-failure&highlight=Turbo+failure
  16. Basically a one way valve in the breather tube from the rocker to acordion, search sxoc you will soon find it. Yeah re welding the cat in may help, but if it's goosed it's goosed. Is it like a grey smoke, not white, blue or black.
  17. Yeah sounds like you revealed a leaking turbo rear oil seal, you might be able to drive around with your aircon on and that stop it. Chances are if you refitted the cat it might work, you could do the one way valve trick to increase the negative pressure inside the block. (Bodge it trick the 200sx boys use) Pain in the ass really.
  18. Really sad to see this. Your a valued and knowledgable member of this community, I really hope this can be resolved without such a parting.
  19. Mine started doing this. Eventually everytime you accelerated it would just slip, revs would rise car wouldn't change speed. Came to the conclusion that torque converter was goosed. It went manual after that.
  20. Baz, you should of spoken to me. Not only would I of looked at it for you, I know the car and could of saved you the journey. Always ask, if it's in my area I likely know of it or will be able to veiw it on the way to or from somewhere.
  21. That's really usefull cheers bud. I found that bilstien is 52mmx1.5mm that's what I read anyways. What I could do with is a set of stock front shocks, doesn't matter if they are goosed I only want to tar them to pieces and potentially use the strut top. I will reveal once in done how much using these skyline coilovers cost me.
  22. Yeah Lexx's car is NA hence the noise. I have decats and mines not that bad at all, essentially I've got a pair of 2.5" pipes from the turbo back and a back box.
  23. The colour they are is good, bronze works well on gunmetal cars. You gotta drop the arse on that thing though to suit the body modifications.
