Didn't realise it'd be this much trouble for you Marty! Sorry dude. I have a magnat 'amp' in mine(see my other thread) and it's been really good. Run my sub and fronts of it. I have another sub with a built in amp, doh!!

What would your advice be to someone else if they'd been the thread starter? Why wait until friday Allan? Get your ass down the quacks mate, even if it's just to put your mind at rest. Go on, NOW!

Amp/Sub install pics
I know mate, it's simples really. Sometimes it's just too obvious a solution!! If you're handy with a jigsaw you will be able to do it. Now all I need is Craig to see how simple it is and that's 2 jobs I've done myself out of!!! I should be able to pop over Sunday chap.

Use your boot carpet as a template fella. Whilst it's in situ make a note of where it fits snug/loose to the trim and allow for this when you lay it on your MDF sheet. Then you can offer it into the boot and it should be somewhere near perfect. It's really quite a simple process, but because of the shape looks a whole lot more complicated than it is. Don't forget to leave a gap of about 5mm all round for when you cover with carpet. I took the carpet down and around the edge to help with damping where MDF meets plastic trim. HTH. The 'amp' cover is just basic carpentry, form the rectangle, but allow to round the corners so it follows the 'tray' shape that shorties have.

Cheers mate. If you are at Andy's at the weekend and not having a lads night in watching Shane Ward clips on youtube whilst listening to his latest album I could pop over and have a look/see what you're after. Doesn't sound like it'd be a problem.

Not a problem if you're serious mate. I can just use mine as a pattern for the floor, and the cover is simples anyhow. I wouldn't bother with the quadrant though if i did another. Some of those velcro pads are strong enough and give you more options, i went overboard. I'll get round to covering that part of mine which is uncovered one day!! Thanks chaps.

Finally got round to carpeting the falsefloor and amp cover. Here it is finished. Hope you like, sounds awesome. The Hertz components up front are sounding better and better, true what they say about improving with use. Sorry about shaky phone pics!!
