Traffic Lights and the Law
As a side note, not even police ambulance or fire trucks can go through a pedestrian crossing on red. Most do though!

Remove plenum
You can remove all of the injector connectors to clean them without removing the plenum.

It's on their website. £1500 plus VAT for new turbos and £1110 plus VAT for reconditioned turbos.

Pcv valves.
You have to order them separately, unless you buy the kit with 5 pipes and the valves.

mjp 01277 374201 If they're anything like mine you'll have to replace the two pipes also.

Exhaust Rocker Covers
When re-sealing them, is it best to fit them not to tight until the sealant sets then torque them up? or should I torque them immediately? any advice appreciated.

EGR Delete
Cheers for the replies, I think I'll end up blanking the pipes and the plenum to ensure no leaks.

EGR Delete
Because the solenoid is disconnected, isn't the valve shut and therefore effectively blanking the exhaust off?

EGR Delete
I'm in the middle of removing my plenum. My car has had the solenoid disconnected from the EGR valve as it was faulty and causing poor running. Can I blank off the two holes in the underside of the plenum where the EGR pipes join it and leave everything else as it is? Any help appreciated

I put 130 mm JBL speakers in mine. They fit exactly.

WaxOil
If you buy bilt hamber dynax S50 in an aerosol, it comes with long application tubes. Buy two cans and join the two tubes together and you can reach the full length of the sills and arches. It's good stuff and really easy to use.

Rocker Covers Sealant
Yes, I was planning to. It's probably on the limit of my mechanical ability, so I'll no doubt be back with more questions! Apart from the rocker, plenum and AIV gaskets, will I need any others?

Rocker Covers Sealant
Cheers, just the small job of getting to them now!

Rocker Covers Sealant
Can anyone suggest the best sealant to use on the rocker covers?

Rust Proofing
To be fair, it did seem dry to me. It was a sunny day and the sun was directly on the car. On the manufacturers website they say it can be applied to damp surfaces, as it displaces moisture.

Rust Proofing
Why is that?:confused1:

Rust Proofing
I spent a couple of hours over the weekend doing the sills and rear arches with Dynax cavity wax. It's really easy to do and well worth it in my opinion, especially as I use my car daily through the winter. I got 2 cans of Dynax off the Bilt Hamber website, each comes with its own length of plastic tubing and nozzle. I removed the rear seat and rear quarter panels and also peeled the carpet back a bit, near the side of the front seats as in the pictures. I joinined the two lengths of tube together and accessed the sills from the holes in rear quarter and half way along the sill. I was able to reach the full length of the sills and the rear arches, as proven by the nice puddles on my drive in the two pictures! Its really easy to use and flows brilliantly even though it was only 10 degrees. It was nice to find the sills are still in perfect condition on the inside.:D Hopefully by doing this and keeping the underseal in good condition, my Z will stay rust free for a few years!

Injector Replacement
Cheers for the advice, I'll give it a go as soon as I've got an injector. I'd better keep some chemical metal on standby!!

Injector Replacement
I've discovered that one of my injectors is knackered, the one at the front on the passenger side. I was considering swapping it using the dremmel method. It looks like quite a lot of material would have to be removed from the plenum. I wondered if many others had done it this way as i'm scared of scrapping the plenum. I was just after some reassurance really!

Front engine water pipe and hose pressure issue!
Just a thought. You say you've bypassed the heater matrix, but you also say putting the heater on helps with the overheating. With the matrix bypassed, the blower should have no effect on overheating. Are you sure you've done the bypass correctly? I'm no expert by the way!

Front speakers
5.25" go straight in, anything bigger will need slight modification I think.

De cats. Silenced or un silenced?
I had mine made by a company called MIJ in walsall. This was for my s14 not the zed, but they would make them for most cars. I'm sure there's loads of places around the country that would make them.
