Maybe accounts that haven't been used for 3 months and that have never been used to post could just be deleted? (Sorry Mike, another one for you.)

oil refinery explosion......hemel hempstead
Only just heard about this. I got woken up by it this morning... the whole house shook and I thought at the time it was one of my housemates slamming the front door really hard (can feel that easily from my room). Only just worked out what it must have been... and I'm in Cambridge... strewth.

Rear foglight issue on J-spec
Hi All, I recently had my car MOTed. I know the guys that did it, and they passed it no problems, but they did warn me about the foglight. They've put a note about it on the invoice saying it's not bright enough, and also is a bit obscured when viewed from anywhere but straight behind. They've said I should get something done about it before it's next MOTed. My car is a J-Spec and has had a foglight added in the centre panel on the RHS where the reversing lights are. Now I know some of you guys must have also had to deal with this issue so I was wondering what you did about it? I *really* don't want to stick one of those bolt-on ones on the bottom of the bumper -- they look utterly crap. So what have others done? Is it worth getting a UK spec rear bumper with the foglights built in? Or is there some way I can make a light mounted in the centre panel more effective? I think I'd probably prefer to do the latter as at some point I may want to replace that bumper anyway. Also could I use the brakelight in the spoiler as a fog light? Alternatively could I mount an LED strip in the rear window in some way... although then I guess I'd need to worry about the tint bubbling due to heat if it was on for a while. Thanks, Bart

Remind me never to drive round there at the end of the day then!

Ebay classic
Hmmm.... have you checked his feedback and looked at the other items he's sold? This isn't the first time. He's been doing this since at least the beginning of last month as far as I can tell... 'course he could still be *that* upset. I can imagine that that's possible.

North Wales Police strike again!!!
 Is that allowed? It would be great if it was.... I don't like the idea of having to mar my replacement front bumper, when I eventually get it, with a number plate.

 Good job too if it needs a new engine!

Greetings! :)
Question is how long the previous owner had it. He got shot of it pretty quick since it was on Autotrader for a good 4 - 6 weeks around the January - March time.... probably couldn't afford to run/maintain it. Interesting that you say it needs a new engine. There are plenty of people on here who can help you out with that kind of thing, so you're in the right place. Best of luck with it.

Greetings! :)
Well... that's a history for you. When did you get it? I pretty sure yours is the autotrader car. Was up for £7k and advertised as having 400 bhp.

And I thought some of you guys were getting carried away.....
The purple one's a nice colour, and is generally OK apart from the Supra style lights and the wacko doors. Not so keen on the others.

Post count.
 Nice. I'm not too bothered either way. However I do think the average idea is a good one, because then along with the join date you can quickly see how active a member is. Maybe making the average over the last 3 months or whatever would also be good so that people who don't use the forum any more, but have 5000 posts don't look like they're still active. I realise that somebody, and probably Mike I'm guessing, is going to have to implement this, so it's just an idea.

99 spec lights are on/in !!!
Very nice job mate. Really freshens up the back end of the car. Might have to get me some when I've got some cash again. They're definitely starting to grow on me.... that and maybe a '99 spec spoiler.

News Report motorists paying £13,500,000 a year to fix doggy workmanship by traders
LOL. One of my mate's has just been through this. Somebody keyed the bonnet so they got it sorted under the insurance. Anyway, his wife goes to collect the car and the bonnet's sorted, but there's a massive dent in the wing, which wasn't there before, but which the garage are claiming she did. Outrageous. Absolutely couldn't believe it. They're now trying to get it sorted out with their insurers but I don't know what the outcome's likely to be.

Greetings! :)
Hi mate. Welcome to the club. Has that car got round rear lights? Looks strangely familiar... I saw one very like it on autotrader back towards the beginning of the year. Fresh import from Japan. Might not be the same one though, I'm not sure if the wheels aren't different.

North Wales Police strike again!!!
It would make me question where my council tax money is going. Seriously I'd get quite inquisitive, and would probably file a formal complaint.... Cambridgeshire police are something daft like fourth worst in the country, and their portion of the council tax virtually doubled last year. I can clearly remember sitting round the table with a couple of my housemates trying to figure out what they did to justify it. I know there was a *particularly* high profile double-murder over three years ago, but they'd already put it up once to try to pay for the investigation into that.

Oops, sorry didn't see your second post. That really does suck. Winds me up that our council tax pays for this kind of thing. In any case, I though the smaller plates were legal on the front bumper under some circumstances? Guess not.

starting to really like skylines
Oh yeah, GTOs.... passed one coming the opposite way yesterday. It's true you don't often see them modded, but I think they're looking really dated now anyway: it'd take quite a radical facelift to make me want one of those.
-
starting to really like skylines
Yeah, I think that's true. I've seens some mint looking modded Supras, but as standard they're a bit minging.... just like the Skyline in fact. It depends a lot on the colour though. Don't get me wrong I like both the Supra and the Skyline in different ways, but when I was looking at mad Jap cars I was conscious that I was going to have to live with the decision for quite a while. :) And overall I think I've made the right decision... in any case I always liked the zed, but you never used to see many of them around.

Never believe film critics.
Yep, WOTW is a really good film: I was pleasantly suprised. Really enjoyed it. Mr and Mrs Smith OTOH is absolute rubbish. I doubt watching it on a tiny screen on a plane helped, but even on the big screen.... just total kak.

ebaY seller fees
That's the impression I'm getting as well. It seems like it's now a complete free-for-all on there, with all kinds of crap going on -- like that XBox 360 listing somebody posted yesterday, that was actually just for a photo.

Mate, that's very bad luck. Do you get points as well as a fine?

216 mph road zed...
But anyway, that car: very nice. Not too sure about the rear wing, but then I guess if you do want to do 200 mph+ and that's going to give you more downforce. Come on, who wouldn't want an 800 rwhp zed? It'd be mad. You could waste just about anything that wasn't all-wheel drive, and most of those too. It would be great. I'm assuming that's American hp though since the site is based in sunny California? I don't know what the conversion is, but I know it's going to be less powerful than it sounds from that article. Still a monster though.
