  1. Hire somebody to nick Mac's engine and stick it in my car instead.
  2. That's tricky. I've got to be honest, and feel free to slap me for this, but I think both types look too small for the car. I'd say the rear ones, but larger. :)
  3. [THREAD_HIJACK] So ummm... is that totally excessive for an otherwise stock zed? Once I get other matters sorted I'm planning to get an induction kit on there (nice easy mod, should be able to handle it myself kind of thing). Chris@GetGreddy has been very helpful regarding the different types, and I was thinking of going Blitz, but that thing could turn your head a bit. So would it be OK? [/THREAD_HIJACK]
  4. Gordon Bennett!!!! *How* big is that turbo?!??
  5. That's a bit more like it.
  6. I don't think they look that good TBH. And, as you say, they don't come in a TT edition etc.
  7. Very true, and something I'd forgotten. You'd end up having to take legal action against the company concerned: total nightmare.
  8. That's very cool indeed. I want one. :)
  9. Well after the amount of time I spent looking for my zed I'd be pretty flaming upset. However, I guess they'll pay up, so as frustrating as it is, probably not the end of the world. Still... I'd be fuming for a while I think. Yep, quite a while actually.

No worries mate. Sounds like a monster. Hope you shift it.

No intention of buying, although I'd love to, but have you got any pics you can show the rest of us please?
  12. Yep, the original version from way back in 1999. Had to dig it out from the bottom of a pile of miscellaneous crud. Still looks remarkably good for a 6 year old game. Clarkey you should be able to get a copy dead cheap.
  13. Hi guys, Sorry if I seemed to just disappear last night. Had a couple of problems with UT graphics mode, got that sorted, but then couldn't connect to Ben's server. Kept getting an error saying the server version was out of date. What version are you running Ben? I'm on 436. I *think* this is the latest, as it was the latest patch version I could find on google last night. Epic advertise the patch on their site, but I was unable to download it from there. Seems to be available plenty of other places though. Again, apologies. I did try to message you guys, but I imagine you were too busy pwn1ng eachother to notice. Anyway, looking forward to a good scrap in the next few days. Cheers, Bart
  14. You can have some of our gritters if you want. Ruddy things are like a plague ever since winter 2003 when everyone got stuck on the A14 and M11. "Oh sorry sir, your car doesn't look scratched up enough, mind if I hurl some more rock salt at it?"
  15. What he said. ;)

Hiya mate. Welcome to the club.
  17. I'd say that looks great. Tastefully bling if you know what I mean.
  18. Does actually. Not too bad at all.
  19. What he said. Surely not the whole car?
  20. I'm bartread@passport.com, but may not always reply when I'm at work. I'm always in front of my computer and sometimes if I'm debugging or whatever I just ignore everything. Bart
  21. That's looking very promising. It's going to look absolutely fantastic when it's all done.
  22. Cheers mate. Turns out this is spot on. I had a bit of a fiddle, figuring that firstly if it's screwed what more damage can I do, and also if there was a reset code it would be a case of hitting a combination of buttons/holding buttons down. So I just pressed both buttons on the LHS together and held them in for a few seconds. Timer made a clicking noise and then went blank - thought I'd really screwed it up then. But then I just pressed "Program" and it came back on as usual. It's been working fine since then so I'm extremely happy. Thanks for the help, and thanks also to Andy for offering to look for instructions for it. Cheers, Bart
  23. The original? I guess most places it's now pretty cheap with the 360 coming out in a matter of days, although I've not looked.
  24. Just seen what this thread looks like from the front page: "Think I've blown my turbo...". Looks an awful lot worse than it actually is thankfully.
