  1. Members We are now taking orders for our 300ZX.co.uk 2008 Club Calendar. This year’s calendar was a big success and was very well received by everyone, therefore we will be using the same format and printer to supply the club. The calendar will be in A3 portrait format, with the club’s ‘Car of the Month’ winners featured each month. The club did subsidise the 2007 calendar, due to the problems the previous year. This was in the form of a one off goodwill gesture to all members, resulting in a reduced cost of £10 per calendar, including postage. Unfortunately we are not able to subsidise again, therefore the cost of the 2008 calendar will be £15 per calendar including postage. We sold over 140 calendars last year and are anticipating similar orders this year. We are planning to complete the design and printing in November and delivery in early December. The calendars will be on a first come first served basis. If you would like to order a 2008 calendar, can you please add your name to the list below and send your payment to either the club’s Paypal account or via bank transfer. When making payment, please add ref: 2008 Calendar. Payment details can be found in the link below: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=767625&postcount=1 The club will only order the calendars once they have been paid for. Last year we did purchase the calendars up front and trusted our members to settle the cost. Unfortunately, some members decided not to bother paying, leaving the club to cover the cost. 2008 Club Calendar list 1. 6. Members, As you all know, we had to cancel our original annual summer event at Billing Aquadrome, due to bad weather. This event was to be shared along with the ZClub and other Zed related UK clubs, to join in the celebrations marking 30 years of the ZClub. Derek Sulley from the ZClub has been working non stop since the cancellation, trying to find an alternative date and venue. We are now in a position to confirm that the event will be held on the weekend Friday 7th ~ Sunday 9th September 2007. The NEW VENUE: Sherbrooke Scout Camp, Mansfield Lane, Calverton, NG14 6HP. This site has some excellent facilities. (Some will not be available to us this year due to other bookings but future events here look promising). We have a meadow to ourselves together with a large marquee. There is a toilet, washing and shower block. The site has 22 acres of grassland and a 5 acre wood if you want to get out and about. You will be able to camp or caravan and there is some on site accommodation available. eg. Fernwood lodge is a wooden clad portakabin type building having two rooms, the smaller sleeps 4 and the larger sleeps 10 for a rent of £75 per weekend. There are also on site caravans sleeping 5 for £40 per weekend. Local B & B’s are available but you must make your own arrangements. The agenda for the weekend will be exactly the same as was planned for Billing. The 300ZX.co.uk Annual General Meeting will be 16:00 on the Saturday. The Annual Club Awards will be Sunday afternoon. The Club Committee had booked 3 large attractions for Billing (Bucking Bronco, Sumo’s and Bungee Run) and we have managed to secure a re-arranged booking, meaning all the attractions will be at the new venue on the Saturday. On Saturday evening we will have some team sports and a social. Sunday will have the car show and another round of sports for those seeking revenge. Food will also be available throughout the weekend, courtesy of our resident club barbeque expert. There will be an entry fee of £5 per car and camping is £1.80 per person per night. You should be aware that this is a very active scout camp and young people will be about at all times. There are speed bumps and you must drive at less than 5mph with headlights and hazard lights switched on. We acknowledge that this confirmation is short notice, as the weekend is only five weeks away. We hope as many members as possible are able to make the weekend. Regards The 300ZX.co.uk Committee Please add your name to the list in this thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=937394#post937394

  10. Oh Shit!! That's my fault. They used to be posted out in A4 envelopes but we are now using A5, so I thought 1 x 1st class stamp would have been sufficient. Looks like they are 6p short. My apologies. Steve

  13. All the best for the future Mike and thanks for all the hard work over the past seven years

  15. Can't see a grade 4 or 5 '99 spec TT manual going for £10K TBH. Like has already been said, by the time you add on all the import tarriffs etc., it may end up being £13-£14K
  16. IMHO you're wasting your money paying over £10K A clean '96 would cost you half what you'd pay for a '99 and TBH, there isn't that much difference. What difference there is, you could upgrade yourself for about £1000. (rear lights, bumper & spoiler) Don't forget, a '99 spec is now 8 years old, so it's not a new car anymore.
  17. kirbz will probably be the best person to ask.

  24. Thread closed!! I only started this thread to say what a shit summer we are having and was pleased I wasn't at Billing last weekend. Wasn't wanting to open yet another pointless thread about whether it should have been cancelled or not. Decision was made two weeks ago...can we please move on.
  25. Hands up all those who are pleased they didn't make the trip to Billing this weekend. Can you believe the summer we're having :headvswal
