  1. I am starting this thread to gather feedback on members opinions on last weekend. Personally, I thought it was a great success and feel both clubs can benefit from each others strengths. However, I want to know what the rest of you think. Please feel free to post up your thoughts and comments, whether they be for or against. All I would ask, is you try and make them as constructive as possible. Any posts that are not relevant will be moderated. Thanks! Steve-300ZX Membership Secretary
  2. Just like to say thanks to all those members that turned up at the weekend and ensured the re-scheduled Billing event was a big success. The weather was perfect all weekend and only goes to back up the ZClubs decision to cancel Billing in July. I for one am convinced it was the correct decision. Even after three years in the club, I still met many new members. In fact, I reckon there were more people at the event that I hadn't met, than there were those that I had. Duffers, Saz, Crotchrocket, Rag Top Rob, Ceejay, ShelZX and many more. I must take this opportunity to say a special thankyou to Steve Burns and Derek Sulley (and the rest of the ZClub Committee) for their efforts in organising the event at Sherbrooke Scout Camp. I know they put in a lot of time organising their 30th birthday bash. I thought the location was perfect. The facilities were spot on. There were toilets and shower facilities and more important, we had access to a kitchen for communal breakfasts. Speaking of food; once again, I must say another special thankyou to Darren (Madhammster). He grafted his pods off again this year, cooking right through the Saturday night and was up first thing Sunday morning making breakfast for everyone who stayed over. He stayed until right into the Sunday afternoon, cooking on the BBQ. That's the third year running that Darren has offered his services to the club. Thanks Darren!! This was the first joint event between the two clubs I had been involved in and I know I speak for many other 300ZX.co.uk members, by saying that it was great to have all the older, classic zeds alongside our Z32's. I hope this will be the first of many and look forward to joining together again in 2008. I have made friends with some really nice people from the ZClub, Steve Burns, Paul Wrangle, Suzy, Derek Sulley to name but a few. I feel that both clubs will benefit from sharing knowledge and expertise between them. It seems pretty clear to me that, in terms of a car club, the ZClub are in a different league, whereas, we have greater strengths in our forum. Anyway, enough of me babbling on!! :D On with the awards. 1. Best Wide Arch Zed Winner: JASON FARROW Runner Up: Shel ZX 2. Best Modified Zed Winner: JASON FARROW Runner Up: Smithy 3. 23. Has any of the Midlands lads got a contact telephone number for Darren (Madhammster). He hasn't been online much lately, either on here or on the ZClub, so not much use sending a PM. Just want to confirm that Darren is still offering his BBQ services at the Summer Event / AGM this year. If anyone has his number, please don't post it here. Either PM me the number, or maybe speak to Darren yourselves and ask him to contact me. If you PM me, I will give you my mobile number. Thanks in advance for your support. Steve
