yep mate,there is a way of fixing it to the top of the block instead of in the block.it works by bolting a long stud to the back of the engine roughly where the sensor is and fixing the sensor on top of the bolt,it still picks up the dettin frequency as normal------ask one of the mechanic guys on here iff they do it

whats it spooling to mate---ie,psi should be 9psi iff its running normal,i would try to find out why its detting instead of just linking the dett sensor and covering up the fact,could be the dett sensor down but then again it might be ok and your doin damage,in any case make sure its drinking optimax

it recalabrates the gearbox---ie changes the shift points in relation to engine revs,power and hold.the hold mode is ideal for wet conditions because it makes ths gearbox less "frantic" thus aiding traction
